Actually, I think the Saudis were playing the long con here. Buying time for final preparations by the US and Israel. They placated the Iranians but were completely ready to back us when the shooting started. Saudis knew Iranians would be stupid enough to lob some missiles at their ME neighbors providing the excuse for the flip.


Saudi's did the same thing with the B2 strikes.

The entire region is sick of Iran and wants them gone. This has been a long time coming.

"MEK" is a new term to me.

Dubai and Kuwait are closed to all flights right now, the former being one of the worlds largest/busiest airports in particular, stranding many for the time being.

We're apparently operating Predators/drones (and I guess anything else we want) with impunity over Iran already. I saw one video, around 5 hours ago, of a Mig-29 in the air over Tehran, which I have to assume didn't stay airborne real long.

Iran has plenty of large missiles, but one contrast vs. the Iraq war is that our armed drones provide an ability to survey and target folks rolling them out to launch much better than back 20+ years ago. The ability and willingness of their crews will only deteriorate, as well.


Burj Kalifa, Kuwait Airport tower, Palm Hotel Dubai, Eastern Saudi oil fields and Riyadh all being targeted is quite an aggressive way for the mullahs to go out.
