Maybe the focus their rafales, 15s, and 16s on the straight and all threats against it. This would include Bahrain, UAE, and KSA.
As for the 16s at Diego Garcia, they may be there for island defense. No way i see the usaf taking a single engine electronic attack platform running sorties so far away. Plus the is VAQ133 F18 growlers on the Lincoln. Granted, that's not enough for the entire country, unless they move these 16s and more up to a small island off of Oman….

Will be interesting to see if Iran is able to successfully hit Israel any better than their last time. If they dont in the next 24 hours then Iran is absolutely done. Leadership eliminated and you launched attacks on multiple nearby countries too. Unless they have some serious aces up their sleeves then the regime change likelihood has been set up about as favorably as possible.

Retaliate how and with what? I don't think most people understand how much better our technology is, in every domain from subsurface to space. We have them completely bottled up and know their every move often better than they do themselves. Any "retaliation" attempt or uprising will be met with overwhelming force faster than they can yell Aloha Snackbar.

I'm thinking this could be the equivalent of the DC pizza tracker, but in reverse. If we see internet activity start to be restored then I'll interpret that as the regime having lost control
