The Air Force eliminated in Beirut the commander of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad's Lebanon sector*
The Air Force attacked and eliminated overnight (Tuesday), in the Beirut area, Adham Adnan Al-Athman, commander of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorist organization in the Lebanon sector.
Al-Athman had served in this role for several years and was responsible for promoting and executing hundreds of terrorist attacks against IDF forces and civilians of the State of Israel.
In recent times, Al-Athman continued to promote numerous terrorist activities on behalf of the organization in Lebanese territory, including training Nukhba terrorists, recruiting terrorists, and acquiring weaponry for the organization.
During Operation "Northern Arrows," Al-Athman even managed the transfer of the organization's terrorists across the Syria-Lebanon border and their activities against IDF forces in southern Lebanon.
His elimination constitutes a severe blow to the terrorist organization PIJ's ability to carry out terrorist attacks against the State of Israel and its citizens.
The IDF will continue to operate forcefully to remove every threat to the State of Israel.
