He made the claim. You ask him to cite his.
Why do you believe him? Cite your work.
Eta, I used to believe this site was better as far as objectivity, but there is so much bull**** posted here because of partisanship, it's no better than any other forum.

When you tell people to cite their work vs educating yourself, that also does not make the site better.

Tax cuts are counted as spending. Even worse, because they were made "permanent" it uses I think 10 years or maybe longer.
It's why TCJA of 2017 had the cuts expiring and phasing out as the CBO scores you better that way.

First off, you are the last poster that should be talking about educating anyone. Look in the mirror.
Second, HE told me to cite my work. Yet, you didn't respond to him, you respond to me. Why? Because you are good with the false claim and wallowing in ignorance because you support Trump.

Actually I educate quite a bit on this board. And you are the one who is incorrect and making a false claim.
Tax cuts are counted as spending when scoring a bills impact. Period.
We don't need sources cited to say the sky is blue. You are saying it's green with pink polka dots and so it's appropriate to ask what the hell are you looking at.

The finger pointing between dems and reps is comical. Neither side gives a **** about the national debt when their team is in charge. The OBBB just undid a bunch of **** the Inflation Reduction Act put in place. And in 4 years when the pendulum swings the other way the dems are going to undo a bunch of **** the OBBB put in place. All thats guaranteed is that the debt keeps climbing.
Some say the debt doesnt matter. Lots of countries operate with significantly higher debt to GDP ratios than the US. What I dont understand is how every country can be in debt. I guess they all just owe money to each other? Others say the govt will collapse eventually due to the debt, but the time frame is always 10-20 years from now.
The OBBB is going to put money in my pocket with the higher SALT cap and it will help my industry (O&G) with the rolled back "clean" energy incentives. I guess I got what I voted for.

Reduced tax revenue via tax cuts is considered spending when a bill is scored.
That why they say tax cuts "cost" x trillion over 10 years. It's money the government doesn't get any more so it's a cost to the government coffers.
It's backwards logic. But that's how it is.

You made a claim too..
Copy and paste this into Google and report back:
are tax cuts considered government spending
Quote:
Tax cuts are scored as reductions in federal revenue, not as increases in spending.

Which does what to deficit projections?

Tax cuts being equated to increased spending is utterly nonsensical. If the CBO defines it that way in any scenarios, that's a purely political driven definition with no basis in reality.
