The One Big Beautiful Bill delivers funding and tools that are much needed at our borders:
Finishes the wall
Hires 10,000 ICE agents
Funds 1M removals of illegal aliens

This bill puts an end to the chaos at our borders.

OR....

have the greatest tax increase in US history, tank the economy, and ensure the Democrats take back Congress in 2026.

Why hire more ICE agents if you want illegals to work in various industries here, which Trump does? You don't need more ICE agents to remove only illegals who commit crimes.

The wall will be abandoned/destroyed by the next Dem admin.

I want the tax cuts and whatever future spending reductions in the bill - that will never happen - to get it past the Byrd rule. That's all.

If those numbers are accurate, LMAO!

I read that the Senate added $1 trillion to the House bill.

Come on man - that's like just a $100 million here, a $100 million there... What's another $1 trillion onto the bonfire so long as its going to a good republican district...I mean good cause?

If you entered the country illegally you are a criminal, If you missed your asylum court case, you are a criminal, need i go on? Heavy estimates assume there are 20 million illegals in the US. ICE has around 8500 officers assigned to removal. 6100 of those are deportation officers. As our mentally challenged politician says from Houston, the math ain't mathin.

Hell Biden was working to employ 85k irs enforcement officers. Why does border security and sovereignty take a back door while tax payers get bent over bc they have 600 bucks in a damn venmo account.

He does but they have to do it legally. When i travel to india for subcontractor work, i have to file and pay for a work visa. So should they.

As for the wall, i hope they are that stupid, bc their stance on immigration got Trump re-elected.

Trump is not deporting illegals in certain industries. He's deporting those who have committed a crime, and you know what that means. If you have an issue with Trump's definition of a crime, take it up with him.

He's also deporting if you've been accused of a crime. Even in industry's like agriculture, hospitality, and ect. The so called "exempt" industries. I'm all for it. US has taken in the most immigrants of any country. 2,3, and 4 on that list dont even equal the US combined. Revolving door needs to be shut, and honestly, no industry should be exempt.

It happened. It was a "normal" omnibus bill to continue funding the government, not a reconciliation bill. He was upset about the spending in it.

another absolutely insanely stupid strategy is to GIVE A VICTORY TO THE LEFTISTS by voting down the Bill!

for 7 months the GOP has been working on this and the leftists powerless to stop it-

unless they can peel away enough dummies to tank it on their behalf and give the democrat party a huge victory.

what is the better option for the 'conservatives' opposed to this?

what plan have you put forward that will get a majority vote?!?!

Freedom caucus wants a couple of edits which almost certainly means no July 4th signing, but the leader of the caucus just said he expects middle of next week to have it all buttoned up.

The rumors of the bills demise is vastly overstated. And in wonderful fashion the Freedom Caucus will seek a reduction in tax cuts to offset the spending the Senate added.

So congrats Freedom Caucus?

The "name cancelled by Schumer" bill is still better and more effective than chopping the bill into pieces. Old school Reagan guys like Kudlow have been emphatic that getting the tax cuts in people's pockets by Mid 2025 was critical to the 2026 midterms. I tend to agree with them.

Rest easy folks, this thing is not dying. But people saying so makes for good entertainment.

They'll find just enough votes to pass it through the house as-is. The freedom caucus is less worried about a financial crisis than they are about mean tweets from Trump. Kind of ironic.

If cutting entitlements is not realistic then the only logical option is to drastically cut income taxes while continuing to print money and blow this thing up ASAP. It is going to happen eventually if entitlements are not cut, so let's just get it over with.

Then do not repeat the same mistakes with the next system.

No tax on overtime

Allow workers to deduct overtime pay from taxable income for tax years 2025-2028. The deduction is capped at $12,500 and decreases for those making more than $150,000 a year. (For couples, the deduction is limited to $25,000 and the income cutoff is $300,000.)

They will probably try to let the tax cuts for the highest brackets expire. Idiots! The tax cuts are basically the only reason to support this bill.

I honestly don't give two ****s about deficit spending anymore. Give me my tax cut and spend all the money you want, Trump!!! Backload it with all the "pretend cuts" you want to get my tax cuts passed!

Why?! Because you have "conservatives" - yes, in quotation marks - constantly crying, mocking and making excuses for why spending can't be cut "right now" or "this time".

So screw 'em! They sow wind and will reap whirlwind!

The democrats just went through the same process. Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema tanked a lot of their agenda.

The whole reconciliation process is a farce. We'd be better off killing the filibuster. At least then the power is back in the hands of 100 elected senators as opposed to one unelected senate parliamentarian. And it also makes it possible to split these bills into smaller ones. The one-giant-bill-for-everything model has failed us all miserably.
