The Ferris Bueller dummy was hilarious, esp Stanley's reaction to it.

anyone else catch tonight's obscure reference with Andy calling Stanley his "Uncle Remus?"

I guess it wasn't that "obscure," but still it is amazing how every stuff the writers throw in every episode. There are no wasted lines.

Oscar: What are you microwaving!?

Pam: Why don't you use the microwave in the kitchen?

Phyllis: Someone needs to clean it, it smells like popcorn
Toby's reaction to this was great!

That was a great episode. Oscar's line was so unexpected and hilarious, Dwight wanting to make actual bombs...good stuff.

Dwight's urination in the car had me crying for the first time since Dwight's vomiting on the car after getting in the wreck in the parking lot. My wife laughed out loud at the urination scene as well, which usually takes an act of congress to get her to do that.

Solid, SOLID episode. A+

I thought Krasinski played his parts beautifully in the car while hiding from Karen, etc. His camera looks were better in this episode than just about any I can remember.

Michael to Jim when the copier rolled down the stairs and Karen was spotted:
"Have sex with her. Just get on top and think of Stanley."

The whole interchange between Jim in the car and Dwight and Michael on the secret mission was incredible. Michael going by the code name "Great Scott", Michael forgetting the code words and yelling, "Jim, Jim, Jim!" when catastrophe stuck, Michael screaming "go, leave, save yourself!" while Dwight's yelling, "no, don't leave, come rescue us!, just absolute greatness.

Add that to the list of quotes that I missed from laughing too hard from the previous action. I swear this show must be watched at least 3 times just to hear them all. I probably miss 30% of the show from laughing too hard.

It took me a second time to realize that Jim was wearing Madge's uniform. Also didn't recognize the Uncle Remus connection. Which is why this thread is vital.

According to imdb, Kelly wrote this episode, which might have something to do with her lack of visibility (helping direct perhaps?).

They've not been in episodes before (Creed wasn't more than a background filler until the second season). More remarkable is that it didn't have Ryan. This is the first episode ever that didn't have all five major characters in it (Michael, Jim, Pam, Dwight, and Ryan).

Loved the episode. Easily the best of the season! Couldn't stop laughing while watching it in the WCL!

As writers, Ryan and Kelly were probably too busy trying to get scripts hammered out before the writers strike to appear in this episode when it was filmed, but that is just a guess.

I have a hunch we will see a lot less of them in the upcoming episodes, and then a lot more of them in episodes that are filmed beginning Monday as they have nothing but time to act now that the strike has kicked in.

I laughed pretty hard when Dwight cut himself on the can, but the best part of the episode was when Karen spotted Jim in the car. Jim has this "Oh S***" look on his face, wearing a mustache, in a warehouse costume, in a strange town, and hiding in a car. Karen was probably like, WTF?!?! That was so funny.

Very awesome episode...lots of really funny parts.

The exchange between Micheal and Toby had me rolling. His obvious dislike accompanied with his hatred for refined things (Rock and roll over Vivaldi, for example), his reaction, Toby's reaction and dress had me going. That was great.

That and Oscar's line caught me off guard.

Plus in the conference room with Micheal, Stanley, and the dummy. "What can I do to get you to stay?" "Money" "Well aren't we a big family here?" "Money" "What abo-" "Money" or something to that affect.

"How can you tear a man away from his family?"
"I'm pretty sure they're coming too."

So much gold in this episode. Just from the part of Michael and Dwight being pinned by the copier:
I'm losing control of my bladder!
Just get on top of her and think of Stanley
Jim, if this is it for me.....promise me one thing....host the Dundies.

Phyllis must have pressed about 20 buttons on that microwave

Daniels Pickets ‘Office’ Production

By James Hibberd

“The Office” showrunner Greg Daniels has joined the picket line at his production company’s Van Nuys location in an attempt to shut down production of his show.

“We’re trying to shut down ‘The Office,’” Mr. Daniels said. “We have the star of our show and the entire writing staff behind us.”

Mr. Daniels says he arrived at 4:15 this morning and none of the show's actors have crossed the line. “The Office” cast includes several performers who are also writers on the show, like B.J. Novak, Mindy Kaling and Paul Lieberstein. “Office” star Steve Carell is a WGA member and is not showing up for work as well, he said.

Mr. Daniels is one of many writer-producers facing the decision this morning whether to continue acting as producers on their shows. Sources say a group of top showrunners met this weekend and largely decided to not cross the picket lines. Studios maintain showrunners should continue working to fulfill their production duties.

“We have non-writing producers on the show who are perfectly capable of doing any non-writing producing duties,” Mr. Daniels said. “They want me do to writing-producing and just pretend it’s producing. Every decision you make has a writing aspect to it. If they really just thought it was producing, they could just as easily get somebody else to do these tasks.”

Mr. Daniels said there’s only one unproduced “Office” script that’s ready to go, but it’s a good one.

“Last week we had our best table reading of the entire run of the show, and that’s what we were going to shoot this week,” he said.
