Dude took over a body made for Lady Sif to prank his brother.

And promotional material showing his booking papers had him down as gender fluid

The god of mischief has been around for a millennium and it's unreasonable to think he's sexually fluid?

Who said it's unreasonable?

Best I can tell he's only been "fluid" since about 2007.

I know this is borderline offensive to say and I'm hurt by it too, but...

2007 was a while ago.

Sure, but I thought the stones in the drawer at TVA came from all sorts of "pruned branches" and various variants that they captured. I don't see why they would be from the timeline we saw in the rest of MCU with the exception of the Tesseract that "our" Loki brought with him.

About the show ... we watched the first episode, it seemed slow ... we may come back to it later.

Thought this was the weakest episode. In fact, I'd go so far as to say this might be one of the weakest episodes of all the D+ Marvel shows so far.

Loki and Sylvie connect, and we learn that all TVA employees are variants (so Owen Wilson probably did enjoy jet skiing). I don't think anything else happened.

Thought that the end scene was pretty well done. Did a good job of putting you in the same position as the characters.

Did we know Loki had force powers? (although it was almost like he had a time stone)

To follow-up, I realize what it is about this episode that I don't like. It felt like Star Wars: The Last Jedi (Episode VIII) where the characters go to that casino world for seemingly no good reason. The beginning of the episode started promising and then suddenly we were thrust into a tedious side quest that did almost nothing to advance the plot.

Loki just sent them to a random apocalypse without thinking so they could escape

Interesting side note from this gif....did y'all know that Creed is his real name and that he was once lead guitarist and vocalist of the 60's band The Grass Roots?

I've thought since the beginning that he pocketed a time stone. The drawer was disintegrated accidentally by the TVA, so it could be missing from the evidence inventory without them knowing. The falling building rising back up is a dead giveaway to some kind of shenanigans. I was thinking that either a time stone was involved, or we find out that It was all a projection to get info out of loki.

Something about all of this feels like Loki setting up Sylvie into something. This all seems completely dumb and out of character for Loki to eff himself this bad. He either actually has another device or a time stone or something.

Well, he did palm some infinity stones at the TVA, right?

I loved the episode. Really got into the depth of the characters, and any time Loki talks about Frieda honestly the pain and mental anguish is so well done by Hiddleston.

The only true downside of this episode was the final fight scenes. Seemed out of place for what was setting up to be a great emotion driven episode. Almost seemed like action for the sake of action

I'm glad you mentioned this, because I felt the same way...but hadn't been able to pin it down. He seemed overly clumsy with "cliche humor." It really didn't seem like the Loki we know

just watched episode 3...

Sophia di Martino was the bright spot. The episode did feel like a bit of a filler episode especially the last 10 minutes. I think Loki pocketed an infinity stone back in episode 1 and it may help them escape. Or the TVA comes and gets them.

as others have mentioned...the middle episodes (4,5,6) were where WandaVision went to the next level and became must watch TV. Same for F&WS to a lesser extent.

not sure this episode provided a similar boost for Loki. Need to find out in episode 4 what is Sylvie's motivation and plan for taking down the TVA

If there's only one sacred timeline and the Loki we know is the Loki on that timeline, from where are the other Lokis originating?

Is the timepad device actually broken or was that just one of Loki's illusions?

I think the fact that there is a female Loki kind of throws the whole "sacred timeline" into question. Has the TVA been hunting her since she was a baby?

That episode was incredible. By far the most ambitious and cinematic episode of any of the the 3 Marvel series so far. This was some great sci-fi.

My only complaint continues to be the jerky and quick camera work during the fight scenes.

My guesses but probably actual spoilers follow:

Loki has the time stone and maybe other infinity stones, he will use these to get off the planet. Space stone would be useful for getting off planet, but I haven't gone into the previous episode to figure out which one(s) he snagged.

Sylvie isn't kidding that she isnt a Loki, she is the Enchantress.

I'm liking the show!

Yes sorry, maybe I wasn't clear. I know what happened to send them there, just question why the filler episode in a six episode series.

My guess (probably wrong) is we learn that none of what happened actually happened. Maybe the next episode opens and it's both of them in the original shelter on the planet with her hands around his neck and we find the whole thing was a mental battle between her charm and his projections. Then Owen Wilson will interrupt with a humorous line "oh, did we interrupt something" and slap some neck restraints on them both.

Then everybody will return to the TVA where the secret of variants is revealed and Owen Wilson begins to question things.

Owen Wilson was missing from this episode. I understand that has to happen on occasion, but it impacted the quality of it as compared to ep 2.

I didn't really care for that episode. I also don't care for female Loki, or whoever she's supposed to be, she's the anti-Loki, she has the charisma of Mitch McConnell. I don't think she could possibly be a Loki variant, that's just what they told him to stroke his ego and get his help.

The fact everyone at the TVA is a variant, so she says, is interesting but that was about all I found interesting. I would think the TVA can find them now because they're currently hiding at an apocalypse level event and Loki gave away that roadmap.

Hopefully Mobius is back next week, I missed him.

What was confusing to me while watching the episode is that if Sylvie was a Loki variant wouldn't her and Loki have the same past if they are both from the same timeline? Which to this point there is only one sacred timeline. So either she is hiding information from her past about actually being Loki but from the future or she is a completely different character.

Correct me if I'm wrong though
