Only time I heard the sklar brothers were when guest hosting for Jim Rome... they are not funny. And I'm not a huge Rome fan, but that was all we had for sports radio for a while here in B/CS. Now he's no longer on and all we have are about 8 hours a day of A&M centric sports.

I've felt like this season has been a bit slow overall past the hearing. It's felt like not much of note has happened for the last two episodes. But I can only imagine what it's building towards. An episode without Chuck was nice, but in my head he's off camera scheming something huge.

I feel like I find myself to be a brutal watcher of this show. This is a testament to the writing of the show, but I hate Chuck so much that I actively root for anything that could possibly hurt him to do just that. Honestly kind of hope the series ends with him being killed or dying.

Either way, a two week gap SUCKS. In a way I kinda hate that I started watching this show live. I decided to watch breaking bad after all the seasons were out and it was nice to just sit down and hammer through the entire series without having to wait and see what happens.

I feel like Memorial Day weekend is new to some people every year. It was the same way with Game of Thrones every year. It's a three day weekend - some normal services may be interrupted. Don't forget to check your garbage pickup schedule.

I couldn't be happier the big shows go on break.

I'll be too busy on the lake and most definitely having way too much to drink all weekend to worry about my Sunday shows.

I recognized those guys from Entourage. Had no idea they were known outside of that.

You clearly have not dealt with an insurance company.

No but i know that if i want to talk to someone else they cannot transfer me without putting me on hold. So, don't put me on hold is silly.
There is a difference between putting you on hold and transferring you to someone who can help you.

Yes there is. But you cannot transfer a call without hold on most phone systems.
Ok let me try another tactic. Having worked in a call center as customer support for a company, being put on hold like that is NOT being transferred. He had been just put on hold so they didnt have to deal with him multiple times. If I say "let me transfer you to that specific person" then you get transferred right away. If I say "let me put you on hold while I blahblahblah" you are going to be on hold for a while and you arent being helped soon.

Not sure why you are being a strawman today, but its a little annoying.

I have a real bone to pick with the production design modifications of the 'ABQ in Tune' strip center. The obviously fake facade elements meant to evoke images of a courthouse were WAY over-the-top and just felt cheap. I don't like my emotions being toyed with like that.

You should know by now on texags that everything VG does is the most epic and brilliant piece of storytelling ever in the history of ever. It's unfathomable that he somehow extends storylines, and things that happen in new episodes can be tied back to old episodes and early plots/themes. Almost as if he plans character arcs out, then finds ways to tie it together as he writes new seasons.

Anything that can be criticized is not true, but indicative of an ignorant show watcher who can't see the genius that is Vince.

Shame. Shame.

Just pointing out your habit of fixating on something nit picky that no one cares about and turning it into an argument that derails a thread.

*****ing abouty derailing is derailing the thread more than i did. But i don't remember saying i didnt care and if i did it was i didnt care enough to argue anymore.

Just realized the lady that helps Mike at the playground is the same actress that was one of the evil wives in The Devils Advocate from the late 90s.

That lady has a distinctive look. It seems like I see her in a one-off guest spot on a show or two a year, and I always recognize her as that uppity chick who flashes a demon smile while changing in the dressing room in the Devil's Advocate. That movie is barely memorable, but that scene is imprinted in my brain for some reason.

It's weird how you see thousands of no-name actors in bit parts over the course of a single year who you'll never remember 1 day later, but occasionally you come across one that you always remember.

You should try watching "Cheap Seats". They are very funny. That was probably the last good show to air on ESPN and that was like ten years ago.

I was going to post this earlier.

Cheap Seats is probably in my top 10 funniest TV shows of all time. It's basically Mystery Science Theater 3000, but for old sports shows. They featured (and made fun of) a lot of old 80s & early 90s Wide World of Sports, fishing shows, and even the Scripps Spelling Bee. The Sklar brothers may not be on top of the comedy world right now, but they were truly great when they were in their element.

Great memory.

Those scenes where you get a glimpse of them being demons were awesome.

Yes! And don't forget about the NBC Superstars episodes. Pure gold. Sorry to temporarily high-jack thread. Better Call Saul has been awesome.

Weird episode but it shows where Jimmy is getting close to breaking bad and becoming Saul.

Loved...
1) Where Jimmy rebukes his Millennial camera crew for not knowing who Richie Blackmore is.
2) Jimmy making a scene in front of the van and one of the convicts yells, "Just get in the van!"
3) the final scene where Jimmy pretends to be breaking down but is really just screwing over his brother's malpractice insurance
4) All the scenes with Mike

Glad they are getting rid to write out Kimmy. I'm getting tired of her pretentious ass.

How can anyone not like Kim?!?

This isn't that whole "hate the female who tries to wrangle in the male protagonist" thing is it?

So THIS is how Mike earns Gus' trust, and eventually his employment. By getting Hector through Nacho perhaps. I imagine the last 3 episodes are going to be stellar
Gus already wants Mike to come work with him and tried to pay him for getting Hector's mules busted by shooting the shoe with drugs. Gus also doesn't want Mike killing Hector. Of course that was before Hector forced Gus into using the Pollo Hermanos supply line. I see this more of Mike getting around his agreement with Gus to not kill Hector. Instead of doing it himself he's letting Nacho to do it. This is why he wants to make sure Nacho covers his tracks and switches the pills back after the deed is done.

Right - that sounds like a half measure. I bet that crippling Hector is the half measure he described to Walt

I believe the half measure he described to Walt was about letting an abusive husband off easy, so that the next time he ended up killing his wife.
