Catching up on the thread for the day. I'd like to apologize if my question made in jest a few weeks back about the financing of the Kings Road was a spoiler in any way. If it was, it was pure coincidence. I am not a book reader.

I hope someone thinks I'm a book reader. That would make at least one of my awful predictions seem correct.

So if Dany sent Daario to cut off the head of the snake, it has to be Tywin, right? New prediction, Tywin dies.

And to the question earlier about Ramsey killing Roose Bolton.....now that he has his name, I can totally see that happening. Up until now, if he had done something like that, his bast*** name would have kept him from leading/inheriting anything. But now, I'm guessing he could run the show....and he's sadistic enough (it seems) to do it.



So does anyone want to start a predictions list for all of the major locales going into these last 2 episodes? Or does anyone think that will open it up to potential book readers jackhole spoilers?

They are all infected so if the Mountain dies he will just come back anyways. Oberyn's brain was destroyed, so no worries. Although I take great pleasure in knowing Ned Stark's head was nipping at people until they drove it into a spike.


Now if this goes full on Z invasion, I think the Vale would be the best defended. Although Moat Cailin would be cool with Z's stuck in the mud.

Defending the Viper

I've never read any of these books.

If the earlier troll posters and good-guesser posters are right, then Oberyn Martell's squire(?) applied poison to Oberyn's spears for the fight against the Mountain. We know, from Tywin's own mouth no less, that the Martells are skilled in poisons.

Knowing this, Tywin or Cersei or both bought off Oberyn's squire.

In order to set up a bit of theatre after having disabled the Mountain, Oberyn probably had his squire apply a poison that paralyzes its victim. So when Oberyn pierced the Mountain, the poison would leave Oberyn free to "hold court" for all of King's Landing to hear his accusation against Tywin.

Knowing Oberyn's motivations, the squire was paid off to use a non-paralyzing poison, or none at all, in order to take advantage of Oberyn's assumption that he would have the arena all to himself after having pierced the mountain.

Therefore, Oberyn wasn't showboating. The Mountain was supposed to be paralyzed.

Yup, totally forgot about that. I was thinking he might make an appearance assassin-style in King's Landing.

So next episode, will be mainly The Wall with Stannis showing up and possibly uniting the Wildlings and the Night's Watch against the Whitewalkers with the help of Melisandre. That or just Wildings v. Night's Watch and Stannis showing up in the North to battle it out with Bolton. Count on Bran, Rickon and Gendry showing their faces too. Maybe even a battle between the Hound and Brienne for Arya.

Last episode will be the reunion of Arya and Sansa, ending with the death of Tyrion and either Jaime or Cersie, my money's on Jaime. Add a sprinkle of Dany getting word from Daario her cities are hers again and a shot of her with her dragons sailing toward King's Landing. End of season.

Wasnt it mentioned when Tywin investigates Oberyn after Joff's death that Oberyn was well versed with poisons while he was on the other continent? Some talk about the coincidence between a poisons expert showing up to the city and the King dying of an exotic poison a few days later.

Where is all the Stannis to the Wall talk coming from? Why would he go there? Does he even have an army right now? How far is Braavos from the Wall?

@ the debt. Yup. Tywin and Oberyn had that exact conversation. I believe Tywin said Oberyn was one of very few that had studied poisons to a very high level.

Edit: and most likely it was just a ploy to put some suspicion on Oberyn and had nothing to do with the trial by combat.

Last season Stannis and Red Lady got a Raven message from the the North and I think it was asking for help. She did her fire-talking/stare into the fire bit and said that, yes, they have to help the North/Wall or go to the Wall or something like that. Then nothing since has come of it.

This got me thinking about Arya's biggest obsession (before her kill list): dragons. She talked about how awesome the female Targaryan was who rode one of the dragons. So she will either join forces with Dany and ride a dragon to victory, or Bran's vision of a dragon shadow will be him warg-controlling a dragon with Arya riding, both wrecking KL shop.

Then GRRM will have the dragon turn around and eat Arya's head.

There was no trial by combat at that point. What I'm saying is what do we know about oberyn? He is a pit fighter, he is a poisons expert, he likes sex and revenge, he is called the red viper. Notice he isn't the red boa or red anaconda.

Pretty interesting theory actually. Probably not true, but still interesting.
