The guy that plays Littlefinger and the Carcetti in the Wire, is so awesome at being a smarmy little rat. I can't imagine him ever playing a different role.

I loved when Drogo announced they were going to war. He doesn't speak english but he got me pumped to go chops some people's heads off.

Its funny how HBO finds ways to put nudity in a show and make it part of the story line, like the littlefinger scene with the *****s. It was a necessary scene to understand his betrayal later, but it just makes me laugh two girls are having sex while we see his character develop.

So what are the rules for posting things from Episode 7? Shouldn't there be spoiler alerts for people who don't have HBO Go, at least until after it airs on tv?

Seeing as the majority of the posts about ep 6 have been about not getting HBOgo to work I think we should hold off on ALL EP 7 posts until next Sunday

Without any spoilers, what was the significance of Dany not being burned by the dragon egg, but the slave did? There house crest/sigil or whatever is the dragon, so does that play a part? She also referenced her brother not being a dragon because they don't burn. What's up with all of that?

You have all the relevant information to draw the correct conclusion, Greeze.

That's tough to explain without book info. I guess it doesn't hurt to say that there are references to the idea that nothing is too hot for descendants of the dragon, such as when Dany enters a bath that one of her servants warns her is too hot. That was after her brother had touched her in the first(?) episode.

I think the general idea that should be taken through episode 6 is the fact that Dany is gaining confidence, becoming more comfortable with her new family, and is beginning to embrace her dragon heritage.

Maybe I misunderstood your post, but Mayor Carcetti is far from a rat.

You think boiling gold would kill you that fast in real life? Guessing the shock would probably knock you out pretty fast and the heat to the brain would be what killed you. My morbid curiousity makes me wonder if that would be a much more prolonged and agonizing death. Either way, that would be a pretty crappy and terrifying way to go but we were all almost cheering at our house once we realized what the khal was gonna do to that little whiny *****

Obviously you can't account for time on this show, but from the way they depicted it, as fast as that gold melted, that was some hot stuff!!! I'm not sure what it takes to melt bone, but wouldn't be surprised if it melted his skull fairly quickly!

WOW!! Some pretty shocking scenes in Ep 6...the gold cap, the horse heart, the challenge death in the Imp's situation... I wish the forest scene with Bran had gone according to the book. That would have rounded out the shock/wow factor in this episode in a ridiculous way! If you want to know what I'm talking about regarding Bran, go read the "back story" thread where someone explained to me a difference that the book and show had with regards to the fight in the woods in last night's episode. Would have been REALLY cool to see them pull that off.

I dont know how long it would take to die, but I would imagine basically your face and entire head down to the bone would just pretty much slough off.

Did it cover his mouth and nose, could of suffocated too?? Either way im pretty sure they werent going to spend 5 minutes waiting on him to die to be more realistic .

Yeah, I get the part about her family being the dragons, but I guess I'm not putting together the fantasy side of it. Couldn't remember what viserys said about having dragon blood. Do the houses have some type of powers from their sigil?

Looks like Ned has finally started to figure it out. Doubt he suspects Jaime (who the hell would?!) but he knows the queen has been screwing around after checking out all Roberts *******s and the history of his family. Things are def heating up quickly.

Glad I didn't watch ep 7 last night. It'd be hard waiting 2 weeks for another episode.

Greeze, go ask that in the back story thread. People are very particular about spoilers here.

As someone who hasn't read the books, here is my take on Dani. No need to confirm or deny my thoughts for those who have read the book as I'm just going by what I've seen in the show so far.....

Dani seems to have some type of psychic connection with the dragon eggs due to her family's history which gives her the power of the dragon. Her character began to transform the moment she locked eyes with the eggs while being raped by the Khal in their tent the second episode. From that moment on, she has taken charge of her situation and owned her role as a queen. After this last episode, it is clear that she has the Doth Raki wrapped around her finger and will only become more popular after her son is born.

Now the eggs. There has been a lot of talk about the history of the dragons and how they used to roam the land centuries ago. Piecing together all the stories, apparantly the Targaryans used to be able to control them. Judging from the trance like state Dani falls into when looking over the eggs, she appears to have inherited that connection to the dragons. This is supported by her apparent inability to be burned. She looked like a mother bird placing the egg in a nest of fire when she put the egg in the flames. I'm guessing we are going to have some dragons wielded by Dani sometime in the future to help get the Doth Raki across the sea after all the talk about how they won't sail. Maybe the Doth Raki will fly?

I know some of it may be innacurrate but the possibilities are exciting. An army of horses and potentially dragons in the east and the White Walkers in the north with a civil war brewing in-between? This show is gonna get really good in the upcoming seasons.

I picked this out from the episodes. Robert is black-headed. Robert's *******s (so far) seem to be black-headed. Everyone listed in that book read by Ned at the end of episode 6 are black-headed.

Except for Geoffry.

Who is blonde-headed like the queen and her brother. It's been a while since I've taken genetics, but are we supposed to believe that there is a chance that Geoffry is the offspring of the queen and her brother, and now he's in line for the throne? Might explain why he's so goofy looking, anyway.

EDIT: "Spoiler" space removed.

I think that's not a spoiler, more like just putting together all the facts.

They were somewhat subtle with it. I made my wife go back and rewatch the scene where he is talking to Sansa and she says her sons will have golden hair like Jeoffrey. It was funny watching my wife's "oh *hit!" face appear as that line sank in.

That's definitely not a spoiler... and should be what everyone picked up on at the end of epi 6. Ned was even saying in his mind "black-headed" over and over after reading each name.

It was the "he's NOTHING like" the king comment that really turned on the light for Ned.

They were not prepared for the amount of traffic HBO Go was going to get with this episode preview. I haven't been able to watch it yet.

Just watched epi 7. Incredible show and what a setup these first seven episodes have been. This show has so much potential that it's just silly. Can't.freaking.wait. for each new show.

The melting point for gold is around 2000 degrees F. I'm pretty sure a pot of 2000 degree liquid poured on someones head would kill them pretty quickly.
