What was the warning the witch gave about no one coming in the tent, which she had to swear to? She also wasn't conscious to tell Jor not to bring them in. Can't see all of them making it out alive.

The Jamie-kidnapping was genius...I don't know how it's going to play out though. Do you think Jamie holds enough value in Joffrey's eyes to be traded for something equally valuable to the Starks? If Ned was still alive, Jamie would have worked great as currency to bargain for his release, but now what can they do with him? Sansa is a reTARD, and Arya doesn't even seem like she's a prisoner right now...she can just hide out and eat pigeons for now. SO, what can the Starks get for Jamie? What is their goal now that Ned is Ded? Can they use Jamie to get the Queen to admit that Joffrey is an incest baby and nullify his claim to the throne? I don't think so...so what does Robb doooooooo?

Robb is the man. In his eyes, jamie should never leave alive, especially when he learns of Ned. Get whatever u can from holding him captive and then oops.

Trade the best swordsman in Westeros and the only decent leverage against Tywin and Cersei for two teenage girls? Not exactly a fair trade, nor a good way to keep your bannermen happy with your leadership.

We're already minus 1 head with that sort of leverage against the queen.

(i.e. the imp)

Since Jaime was pressing the Tully's army, did Robb's forces get bigger after the fight by relieving the Tully's and uniting the forces? (Hence, putting him in stronger position to push Tywin?) or are Robb's forces depleted from the fight to the point where he can't afford to face Tywin?

Their new goal is to kill all the Lanisters.

(prediction)Khal Drogo is gonna die and Dany will somehow eat the dragon eggs in memory, sorrow, mourning, something and give birth to a legit dragon of some sort...or a dragon person akin to herself.

Arya's still in danger and they (Joffrey and Cersei) know she won't be as accomodating as Sansa is. they'll want her dead. Yeah, Joffrey showed his ignorance and arrogance by killing ned. Had he just done was they wanted they'd have a bargaining chip to get jamie back. Now they don't. and since Arya isn't captured and sansa is a "traitor" of sorts, I doubt the lannister's have anything the starks want to trade, especially after there father was beheaded.

Man, I don't read books, but this series makes me wanna get the next book asap and start. I can't wait a year for this. Is it really a year?

The preview showed Dany starting a fire. I took that to mean that Drogo died, and to prove that she was more than just a hottie, she sets herself on fire.

non-reader but I think she does far more than just stand in the fire to show she's a badass. Pretty sure she's going to have some interesting presents to show people after she emerges.

Team Twincest doesn't include Tyrion, though. Cersei wants Jaime back. Tywin doesn't care about Tyrion either. (Except that his kidnapping by Catelyn was an affront to Lannister pride.)

I remember the Queen Tully chick saying that her troops will remain in the Vale to protect her creepy little prince. Not sure though.

That was the Arryn (formerly Tully) chick(Catelyns Sister). The Tully house is led by Catelyn's Father.

You've got a good point, but it was illustrated in the episode that the Queen doesn't have the amount of control over her incestuous little spawn that she had presumed (Stark being killed on command; unless she was faking her reaction).

Just because she wants the little dude's uncle[/dad] back, (to me) doesn't mean the little brat is necessarially going to play ball the way she wants.

(Just observations based on not having read the books)

BTW: *** is a hilarious term for it.

I hope Tyrion is smart enough to keep himself alive. With Tywin doing pretty much everything he can to get him killed short of actually wielding the sword and his only ally Jaime, despite his actions involving Tyrians first lay/wife/ho, pretty much f'ed. It's going to be more rough roads ahead. He continues to be one of the most intriguing characters on the show. Dinklage has owned that role.

No one else knows about the incest. It died with ned

I think Varys knows... Didn't he ask Ned "Why did you keep the queen's secret?", which seems to suggest he knows.

Haven't read the books, but my prediction would be something bad happens to Jaime, Joffrey says "Who cares? I don't give a s***," and then Cersei flips out over losing her lover and tells Joffrey (and, heck, maybe the whole court) the truth about his parentage, blowing the young king's mind and setting us up for some insane consequences in season two.

Littlefinger knows and despite his apparent allegence to the Lannisters you never if he'd drop that bomb or not. Remember he was talking it over w/ Ned before he betrayed him in the throne room, saying they could use it in case Joffrey got out of line later on down the road.
aCosmicBandito
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Littlefinger is gonna pull something down the road if he doesn't end up with his throat cut first. His motivation for betraying Ned was to eventually get with Kat who he still loves. That's why he was defending Sansa and positioning so her and Joffrey would still get married. He needed the Lannisters and Starks to make peace so He could eventually be named a successor by Joffrey (really Cersei. It's obvious he planned on her being the real ruler using her son as a puppet) married to her after Ned is stripped of all his titles and lands.

Joffrey superseding his mothers advice and plans destroys his strategy. He no longer has a chance for reconciliation after Neds execution as long as he stands behind the Lannisters. He'll have to wait for the right moment as always and betray them once more to get back into Kats good graces. Possibly sneaking Sansa and Arya out of the south to return them to their families and appear the brave hero? Who knows? I do know he realizes he has miscalculated and will be looking for a way out of the storm coming Joffrey and Cersei's way.

I think we are gonna be seeing some baby dragons in the next episode....Dany's kid is for sure gonna be dead tho.

I wonder if Dany will give birth to a dragon or turn into one?

Jamie Lannister has to die right? I mean they killed Ned, threw their son out of a window...I don't see Jamie being around much longer...
aCosmicBandito
How long do you want to ignore this user?
I'd image so. This doesn't seem like the type of show/books to have ridiculous escape from the middle of a 18000 man army type of action. (See Neds head rolling down the steps with the same stupid WTF just happened look on his face)

How long do you want to ignore this user?
It's obvious in the previews for next week/finale Rob and Catelyn receive word of Ned's death, so I would imagine Rob is going to have big plans for pretty boy Jaime. It will definitely be interesting to see how they relate to Sansa and Arya.

Of all the story lines so far, I am most excited to see what is in store with Jon Snow and Dany. Really praying for some dragons!

If they kill off Jamie, then Tyrion Lannister has to become pretty damned important as the only direct male heir of Dear Brother Numpsy Lannister.

That would be a win for us TV watchers, as Peter Dinklage has been pretty tremendous so far.

How long do you want to ignore this user?
I don't think they kill Jaime unless it necessary. I think they use him for leverage of some sort. If the Lannister army is as big as some think, which is significantly bigger than the Stark army at this point, than having a hostage of Jaime lineage is a huge card to play.

How long do you want to ignore this user?
I loved how Robb immediately showed why he is different from his father and mother. Tyrion already skated thanks to the ridiculous concept of "trial by combat via champion" which I still cannot wrap my head around.

Then Daddy Stark who always took the honorable way out ended up with his head lopped off like so many Eunuch's testicles.

So Jaime basically gives Robb the middle ages version of the BTTF taunt and calls Robb a chicken by saying "Fight me for it" and Robb is like... "uh. no thanks. i'll just take your ass prisoner and that will be that."

Awesome.

He was not afraid to die
Oh Brave Sir Jaime
He was not at all afraid to be killed in nasty ways
Brave, Brave, Brave Brave Sir Jaime.

He was not in the least bit scared to be mashed into a pulp
Or to have his eyes gouged out, and his elbows broken
To have his kneecaps split and his body burned away
And his limbs all hacked and mangled, Brave Sir Jaime.

His head smashed in and his heart cut out
And his liver removed and his bowels unplugged
And his nostrils raped and his bottom burned up
And his ***** split....

WHOA WHOA!!! That's enough! Damn, the things I do for love.

Im pretty sure those eggs are petrified. I think that Dany will be only one who comes out of that tent alive and the Dothraki are going go WTF?! and accept her as their leader when she defies death.

Maybe Jaime dies, but I'm hoping they do something like gouge his eyes and maybe cut off his thumbs like suggested before. I'd love to see how his "pretty boy" character would develop if mutilated and made ugly.

It is neat to see the predictions by you non-book readers. Some of you have amazing foresight!!

This thread is like it's own little show - watching your reactions when bombshell stuff happens. Fun.
