The thing that attacked Jon Snow was one of the dead men they dragged in from beyond the wall.
That Drogo guy is capable of kicking an ass or two when required.
Drogo has a career in pro wrestling if this iron chair thing doesn't work out. His tirade before killing the assassin and his extemporizing before killing his man in this episode should have been punctuated by a Ric Flair "WOO!"
Did we ever see the Kingsguard/Lannister Knight who fought Lord Syrio ("dance" instructor) later in the episode? I am not sure if we are supposed to be lead to believe he dies, or if it was left open enough for him to survive/win the swordfight.
I just need to read the damn books. I get more anxious to know what happens every week!

Seems Arya, Snow and the slave girl in shackles will be huge. Just my speculation at this point. Really hope Arya and Snow stick around for awhile.

Yes, hbo has ruined me. No boobs this episode... a big Hodor dong... They totally ruined the good will of the crotch shot of the red headed ***** a few episodes back.

Robb stepping up and standing his ground, the tongue ripping, and Tyrian line about how he would like to die were all great. It's gonna be hard waiting for season two. It's hard enough just waiting a week between episodes!

Thought it was a GREAT episode.
And maybe I'm too hopeful, but the fact that they didn't show Arya's instructor get killed gives me hope that he's still with us.
I don't think there was a segment/chapter of the episode that I didn't enjoy last night. Awesome!!!

You think he killed them with a broken stick? I figured he was destined to be killed when he didn't pick up a sword from one of the unconscious soldiers.
When the girl left the soldiers were waking up he had no weapon and you heard screams down the hall. Then you see the guy he was fighting later in the episode.
He better be dead or we are due a flashback to show how he survived the attack.

I didn't get that. He was obviously a better swordsman. Why wouldn't he pick one up to defend himself. Is he a member of the stick people, swearing off the use of steel haha? He had plenty of time to kill all of them if he wanted to.
I don't know much, but I know he just made 4-5 dudes look really stupid. And all he had during that was a stick. So I wouldn't say it's all that far fetched for me to then conclude that he might have escaped.

And like I said...I'm hoping he got out. They've pretty much shown everyone else that's been killed get killed. So that's making me hope. I liked his character.

I really liked Sirio too. You would think they would show his death just like every other character. I too was looking for the Knightsguard who he was about to face later in the episode...I will have to go back on the DVR and check. Only place he may have been afterward was in the Throne Room near the end of the episode.

I think it's pretty clear that Joffrey wont be in power long whatever happens. Felt bad for the Commander of the Knightsguard being thrown out despite his vow to serve til death. I thought he was going to go for assisted suicide and take out as many as he could when he started removing his armor. Glad he didnt. Him throwing his sword to be added to the thrown was a great in your face smack to leave on. Hopefully he gets brought back later once the battles start heating up.

I haven't read the books or anything, but here's my guess on what will happen.... The Drogo guy invades (or maybe SHTF up north) and they decide to free Ned and send him off to the fight.

Every other scene is this show "doesn't make sense," that's why it's fictional. That showdown was one of the coolest scenes in the episode IMO.
Just enjoy it for what it is.

I prefer the scene where drogo ripped that dudes throat out. But I'm a bit more sophisticated that way.

He doesn't fight with their swords that's Knights slow dance he is from Braavos he's a water dancer. I believe he explained that to Arya in an earlier episode.

He's the former First Sword of Braavos he can do whatever the "F" he wants. The other dude is in full heavy armor and wielding a large heavy sword I could see Syrio knocking him out and living to fight another day.

ok.. well maybe I'm adding too much real world thinking in it. Dudes with wooden sticks usually wouldn't do much against armored guys with swords. That's why swords and armor were invited in the first place. Its not enough to make me dislike the show or anything.

Cersei always looks like she's trying really hard not to fart.
My guess is the actress playing her is probably not used to being able to move her eyebrows and can't control them once the producers made her stop getting botox injections.

just because it is bugging me, but it's called the Kingsguard...not the Knightsguard (why would a knight need 7 other knights to protect themself?)
