I worked there. I've heard the stories, and heard them while I was there, but very rarely saw anything that wouldn't make me want to work there. If you're looking for an easy part time job that pays better than most things in B/CS, then apply there.
Most departments were relaxed - yes they measured output, and you had to sign out (gasp!) for lunch, but whatever problems existed in the UCS days, I didn't see when working for ReyRey. It's air-conditioned, you're working with college kids in an environment where, even while you're working, you get to shoot the **** and get paid for it. It's a job, so naturally you're expected to do some work, but it pays better than almost anything on campus, and at least my department was incredibly flexible on scheduling.
