Think that might have more to do with beating us twice at home. At Yale+Harvard and a Tuesday game at Rutgers are the only other games they have left that won't be RPI anchors.

Washington st is the real question to me. They looked ok/good beating us and have just been on a nose dive since. 2-12 swept by Stanford and Washington on the road.

Looking, this was actually a brutal stretch so hopefully they can turn it around from here. Home vs #4 oregon st, a cheap Tuesday win then at Washington, at Santa Clara (wed), at Stanford, at BYU (Tuesday).

How is Dallas Baptist number 1?

They have a lot of top 20 scheduled teams on their schedule

Yep...check out their schedule. They've played Tech, oSu, a top 20 Maryland team, a top 20 Louisiana Tech team, and they've played games on the road. When you leave home, your RPI gets stronger.

At this point, I'm mildly disappointed in the RPI of our remaining SEC opponents. It's just crazy to me that Miss St. could wind up being an RPI drag. The conference has 6 of the top 19 teams in the current D1Baseball Poll, but the current RPI aren't nearly as good (yet?!?).

Mississippi State should move up further and further into the season. They've slowly moved up the past few weeks.

But they played some serious junk teams in non-conference*** and lost a lot of games, to boot.

Washington st makes the big jump thanks to a 2-1 series win at #9 Arizona. Good to have them join Q2.

Wichita st has an opportunity to join Q2 with a Tuesday night game at #5 Okst tonight. They've been treading water mostly since Frisco, but stealing a couple big wins would really help us.

Some great RPI opportunities coming up for the Ags. My guess is if we go 2-0 on the next two Tuesdays and 1-2 at Georgia that we'd be on the correct side of the Regionals bubble at that point. Much easier said than done though of course.

Penn still having a top 50 RPI has been a nice surprise.

I see us in an airplane regional as a 3 seed.

I would take that.
