I'd say 1-8 is fairly close across the board this year. I'd prefer the As before the Rays, Twins, or Yankees. Maybe Sox too.

I'd trade the rangers front office with any other teams front office with the exception of the Pittsburgh Pirates. We have just been embarrassing the last few years.

I thought the astros would be good again and a threat to win the World Series, but I also thought the rangers would be abysmal. Especially after our crappy front office made no effort to upgrade the lineup.

Baseball draft does have more uncertainty than other sports that is true.

Rocker has been striking out people at an alarming rate and could end up being a top tier ace one day.

Leiter is the son of the former major league pitcher Al Leiter. I'd say Al was a solid #2 or at worst #3 pitcher.

They could both not pan out, but I think the rangers would be dumb to not take either one. Although, there is a shortstop Vanderbilt has that might be good enough to break into the top 2.

Just a hint: You boys might want to keep the roof closed. In fact, you have to wonder of you can sell the roof motors on eBay.

Even if the Astros fail to make the postseason this year the team has too much talent in its prime to go into full scale rebuild mode.

so technically the Astros won the silver boot due to "run differential" this year.
