The only thing I can think of is we need roster spots. But this draft is deep and there are multiple guys that project high available.
We have 11 guaranteed guys before we do anything with Tre, KBD, etc.

I'm betting they had someone in mind and he wasn't there. So they move 33 and get two future seconds. I'm sure they have someone they like that they think will be there at 44, so rather than just picking that guy at 33, they get a couple extra assets out of it.
