This tells me Pop is retiring soon. I don't see Chip leaving Pop.

NBA commissioner Adam Silver on load management: “There’s nothing more frustrating also for our fans than having players, frankly, who aren’t injured following some program schedule for rest. I’m looking at [Spurs executive] R.C. [Buford], you started this all.” pic.twitter.com/AJTyHs4PX4

I had no idea about Bayne's injury. Somehow I missed it last year. From learning to walk again a year ago to trying to get back in the league this summer. Pretty remarkable.

Y'all think Wesley will start in the G league even though he's played well so far in SL? I've accepted Branham will start in G league
Its not like this team is loaded at guard right now. Primo, Vassel, Jones and Richardson. The rookies might get a little time in the GLeague in order to get reps but we'll need them for depth on the main squad. It would also be cool to keep the 3 rookies playing together a lot early to see how that chemistry develops.Enzo The Baker said:SpicyAg said:

I think both will split their time in the Gleague and 1st team. I assume they will start in the Gleague when the two seasons coincide.

My question is, how long before we see Sochan start? You know he will start at some point during the season but does he start from the get go or does Pop let him come off the bench for a while before he releases him. The latter has been the trend with rookies that start but the Spurs have never been in a complete rebuild like this.LawHall88 said:

Miami announced this morning it has signed undrafted rookie forward Darius Days to a 2-way contract.

An LSU-ex Days had been a candidate to fill the Spurs' remaining 2-way slot.
Days played well for the Spurs and impressed his coaches & teammates with his upbeat personality.

What a fail by the Spurs not signing him.

A fail? That's a bit much. He played well but he's no sure thing.

Not to mention this is an extension. He still has 1 year at $3.8m left on his original deal. So we have Keldon for the next 5 years at a very manageable number.TheNotoriousP.I.P. said:
Looks like the Keldon deal is actually 4/74 with incentives to get it to 80, and is front-loaded. Great job by the Spurs if that is the case. The contract will be at its lowest when our current rookies are ready for their next deals.
