I'm definitely a huge fan of using our extra picks to trade up! We are in desperate need of a go to star! Like Murray, Ivey, or Bancheroflashplayer said:
Trade up and grab Keegan Murray.
I really like Duren and feel like his athleticism is something Poetl lacks. Duren can help us run the floor and play quicker. Mathurin is a baller but Primo/Vassell showed something at the 2. I think what we need is a rebounding shot blocking 4 to complement Keldon at the 3 or a Johnny Davis at the 3 that can stretch the floor and allow Keldon to stay at the 4. Theres so many things to consider, it's quite nerve racking yet intriguing!Enzo The Baker said:

Being a great fit next to DeJounte and being best friends with him certainly has to help.West Texan said:Guitarsoup said:

Lord willing!
If LaVine is gonna leave Chicago, I think San Antonio makes the most sense. We can offer him the max, we're not the total rebuild that other places with cap space are, and he played for Pop on the Olympics along with being buddies with Dejounte.
Landing Keegan Murray at 9 and then being able to swipe LaVine would be an amazing off-season.jteagle said:
I have seen some mock drafts that have Keegan Murray falling to 9. Not everyone thinks he is going to go in the top 5. I have also seen Mathurin and Sochan. Truthfully, the experts are all over the place on that one.
The interesting thing will be to see who falls to our later picks. I like E.J. Liddell. He looks like he could be a Grant Williams type player. I also like the other forward from Baylor, Kendall Brown. Nikola Jovic, Marjon Beauchamp and Tari Eason are also intriguing.

This might be the spurs best chance to land a FA for a while. We are going to have to start extending our guys soon which is going to affect cap space. I'm okay with LaVine. Will definitely be good to get a good scorer. But this team is really lacking defensively and high-iq players.

I agree. We're not getting a top 4 pick this year. Best we can hope for is that somebody like Murray falls to #9 or we hit on the next Kawhi at that pick.Ag Natural said:
No way we trade up unless we give up future 1sts. It just doesn't happen.
I personally love Sochan at 9.

I will trust the coaching staff but if the Spurs draft Duren with the 9th pick I will be disappointed.taylorswift13 said:How would you feel if this happened?#PorVida #GoSpursGo pic.twitter.com/6Sesbz6dQW

Zach Levine is intriguing. He would definitely make the Spurs a playoff team but does he have the ability to lift them up to a championship level. I guess the jury is still out on that one.taylorswift13 said:How would you feel if this happened?#PorVida #GoSpursGo pic.twitter.com/6Sesbz6dQW

I think you can build a team that meshes so well that the whole becomes better than the sum of parts. You have to have high character and high IQ guys who can some do SOMETHING elite. I think the late Duncan Spurs had that. No one guy was carrying those teams. I think Boston has that this year. Tatum is a great player but I don't think he's in the Giannis, Jokic, Luka category. This version of GSW is there. Curry is great but he's not carrying your team to championships without a special player like Draymond. Miami is similar to Boston. One elite player who has had his ups and downs. But overall a great team with pieces that fit really well.jteagle said:Zach Levine is intriguing. I have come to the conclusion, as I'm sure many of you have as well, that there are many great players in the league but very few that really can lead a team to a championship. We saw that this year with Chris Paul. James Harden and Russel Westbrook fit that category as well.
There are just very few players that have the combination of talent, drive and leadership that it takes. As Spurs fans we were blessed to have one of those rare players in Tim Duncan.
In my opinion, that is what the search is for both in the draft and in free agency. Lots of players have talent but only a few have that special something to put a team over the top.
Let's hope we can find it this year!
