That was more stressful than it should have been
The old school part of me says how on earth can you pull a pitcher with less than 100 pitches when he is throwing a No-no? But the realist in me says he wasn't going to finish it anyway with 4 more innings to pitch and a recently repaired elbow. In the end, keeping him fresh and healthy for the playoff run is the name of the game and even a no hitter is pretty meaningless in the grand scheme when that is your goal.jetch17 said:100%. I was an Astros Buddy in 76 and on batting glove night, some adult grabbed it out of my back pocket. What has happened to the bullpen Fortunately they aren't blowing every game like that girl in Oakland but they have to get it ironed out by playoffs or it will be over quick.
Montero has been living on the edge since the AS Break. He can get away with that against Oakland and Minnesota, but the Yankees are going to shell him if he puts 2-3 guys on base with no outs every time he takes the mound.cupcakesprinkles said:

Company got tickets for last nights game up in the rafters. Never sat that high before. If was freaking hot up there. Like uncomfortable hot. It finally got cool enough around the seventh inning. Kinda wrecked the experience for me. Normally I would just move down to better seats, but didn't want to be the guy that disappears in the third inning at a work thing. Old man Baker had better figure out a way to get them to hit.
