Gates open 2 hours before the game, and there will be a line forming to get in then. Depends on how popular the giveaway item is, as they have a limited quantity.

Came inches from catching Dubon's home run ball. I didn't bring my glove because every time I bring it, I never get anything hit within 2 sections of us. So today I left it behind and missed catching it by the length of a glove. But I felt pretty good about it because it was first responders day and 9/11 and the guy who caught it was a 25yr retired Marine. Absolutely made his day and he was smiling and talking about it the rest of the game. I am the dude at the bottom right of the Crawford boxes in gray giving him the thumbs up after he caught it.

I stayed at the Holiday Inn in Morgan City a few times. One time was late summer and they had just announced a storm in the gulf. They evacuated all the rigs and choppered the rig jockeys to Morgan City. Holy crap, that bar was elbow to ******* all night.

More to the point, folks in Morgan City actually had some pride in their town. They were nice and welcoming. Midland is the opposite. Everyone you meet just says, 'F this place. Can't wait til I make enough money to go back home'. Midland might have newer stuff, but that attitude is what makes it suck.
