This team is more than capable to win two straight at home. I refuse to believe that they just all forgot how to hit. They hit good pitching all year. I just think everything snowballed on them and they started pressing. You can especially see it in Springer and Correa's approach at the plate. They're up there guessing instead of just relaxing and hitting the ball. Springer is desperately trying to hit bombs when he should just be trying to make good contact and get his groove back.
I'm guessing the plane ride home was time for them all to talk and get right.
Verlander will pitch great tomorrow, the crowd will give these hitters some juice. We win tomorrow and then have to battle game 7. Hopefully they will have a better approach against Sabathia and we're World Series bound!
I don't think people are overly concerned with Verlander pitching well. It's the, what feels like, .0 something team batting average for this series that is worrisome.
exactly. he will need a repeat performance from game 2 the way our bats are going right now which is a tough ask for any pitcher. but hopefully some home cooking will wake a few guys up.
Just spent 15 mins trying for WS tix. Only got offered SRO for game 4, but there isn't going to be a game 4 unless the cubbies have a miraculous comeback. Guess someone other then Ticket******* gets to scalp me.

You know that the World Series is a best of 7, right?

Yes, that's exactly how it works. If you had ALCS tickets for tomorrow and Saturday they'll say Home Game 3 and 4. Guess what though it's game 6 and 7. For WS everyone is assuming dodgers win so it would be physically impossible to have 4 home games in Houston.
I bought SRO tickets for both Games 1 and 2. I'd rather have something in hand and then see if I can parlay them into a seat someplace. Have to get there first.
I just got tickets to tomorrow night on SeatGeek. In Verlander I trust. Our bats will come around. I think they will get a lift from coming back home.
