When the starter goes less than 5 but has the lead and the lead is never surrendered I believe the official scorer awards the win since there's no established pitcher of record. I don't believe a starter that goes less than 5 is eligible for the win. Maybe they are but I know they can't be the established pitcher of record with the lead which normally establishes the W.
In this instance I believe Feliz had the best line of all the relievers that were eligible because of no runs or walks with 2 Ks.

Having to start Fiers in in the playoffs could very well be the difference between ending this season in the ALCS and the WS. Fiers is a f'ing bum and he is still getting credit for that no hitter from 2 years ago

Let that one marinateQuote:
The Astros swept a road series against a first-place team who threw their SP1, SP2, and SP3. The Astros threw Brad Peacock, Mike Fiers, and David Paulino.

In 2005, Pete Munroe started game one of the World Series for the Astros. Pete Munroe.BarryProfit said:David_Puddy said:

No he did not. Also, he wasn't even on the team in 2005.Chewy said:Quote:

Um, the four Astros starters for the 2005 World Series were Clemens, Pettite, Oswalt, and Backe.
Clemens left Game 1 early due to injury but I believe the Astros had a lead and the bullpen blew it. In Game 2 I think Pettite went 6ish and left with a lead and again the bullpen blew it. Oswalt got hit pretty good in Game 3 and Backe pitched the game of his life in Game 4.
Did Pete Munroe even pitch in that World Series?
why the fake news? Not even a decent troll attempt.Milwaukees Best Light said:
