For those that are watching or listening (I just have it on my computer), was this something we planned on doing or was it just a reaction (or overreaction as the case may be) to Sale coming in? It just seems so desperately reactionary (sort of like pulling Peacock so quick yesterday...but worse).

Still hoping it pays off...but we've wasted Verlander now...

Nobody knew until Verlander started warming up.

Haven't necessarily wasted him, you'd have Dallas pitching Weds night. If we survive that, Verlander could start Friday.

I thought about that too....but are we sure Gattis would have been safe at second? Guess it would have come down to how the ball richocheted off the wall. The ball boy killed the ball by the wall and Gattis almost got thrown out at second.

Still the little sob should have been paying attention and not touched the ball.

Anyway....come on Giles!!!! Get'er done!
