LOL at Zelenskyy for showing up at the WH dressed like a custom character from Call of Duty.
Dude rolled in thinking because he was an entertainer he could go tit for tat with Trump (and Vance for that matter).
Wtf, over.REPORTER to Zelensky: “Why don’t you wear a suit?! You’re in the highest level of this country’s office and you refuse to wear a suit. Do you own a suit?!”

Somebody finally calls the dude out on this. This ain't a video game. Show up, and dress the part.
This is crazy, Guy thinks he's a comic book character. The more that come out about all this the more insane it is.
Zenensky showing up and coming at Trump makes about as much sense as the guy that tried to mess with Mike Tyson on a plane and got knocked out.
Z been drinking his own kool-aid. He thinks he a character in a movie. Such a wild scene that it makes you wonder if he MK-Ultra'ed.
Never seen anything like this guy.
An unbelievable course of events.
Show up.
Dress the part.
He clowning people and it's getting old.
Trump desperately trying to prevent WW3 and you got homeboy rolling up in a 5.11 outfit he ordered off Temu.
This whole anti-Ukraine thing is a circlejerk and nothing more.

The Trump-Vance-Zelensky meeting wasn't strength or strategyit was a reckless display that weakened America and handed Putin a win. A real conservative foreign policy is about deterrence, alliances, and maintaining global influence, not performative grandstanding. Today, Trump didn't project powerhe projected unreliability.
Calling Ukraine aid a "grift" ignores history. Reagan armed anti-Soviet fighters, Nixon backed Israel, and Eisenhower kept Europe secureall to prevent hostile powers from expanding. If Ukraine were a corrupt puppet, Putin wouldn't have needed to invade. The real "grift" is pretending that letting Russia seize land will somehow lead to peace. Every broken agreementBudapest, Minskproves otherwise. Appeasement has never stopped a dictator, and it won't stop Putin.
This wasn't realism; it was isolationism dressed up as toughness. Nixon didn't strengthen U.S. ties by humiliating allies. Reagan didn't defeat the Soviets by calling them "whiny." Serious leadership means shaping the world to our advantage, not insulting partners on TV. Trump and Vance didn't advance American interests todaythey embarrassed them.
And for all the outrage over aid, here's the reality: U.S. support for Ukraine has been one of the best strategic investments in modern history. A fraction of our defense budgetmost of it spent on American-made weaponshas devastated one of our biggest adversaries without a single U.S. soldier in harm's way. Russia's military has been gutted, their global influence diminished, and their economy crippled. For a cost that's less than what we spent in a single year in Afghanistan, we've neutralized a major threat. That's not charity. That's a bargain.

If you cannot defend your borders and are reliant on a third-country for survival, you are no longer a sovereign nation.
End of story.
Trump tells the guy this and he backtalks like a contestant on Shark Tank.
Trump trying to make a deal and end this mess one way or the other. But he negotiating with a guy with zero leverage.
And finally people raging because Trump showing favor to Russia don't understand this is straight out of Art of the Deal.
It's what Trump does. It's how he negotiates. He wrote it down for everybody in 1985.
Trump can't help you if you don't read the material.
Zelensky shows up unprepared.

Agreed. If Zelenskyy showed up in a monocle and top hat Trump would have still bent over backwards to not say a single thing mean about Russia and insulted Ukraine to their president's face.
And we'd be right here anyway.

And Zelenskyy literally came to the table today to negotiate and Trump just made excuses for Russia.

As I've said, im not convinced they still need our help to maintain current lines. And zelensky probably knows that.

Yeah that's just not true. Did you watch the conference? The entire brouhaha started after Zelensky went after Vance for suggesting negotiations with Putin.
While I am rooting for Ukraine to hold on to as much of its territory as is realistically possible, I disagree strongly with both some of these assertions, as well as the general perspective.MaroonBloodedTexan said:

You realize that Russia is ready to negotiate right?
Trump wants peace. Putin is ready to talk. Zelensky is not.
Trump doesn't have to say anything aboutPutin. There's no reason to. Already has him at the table.
Zelensky is resisting because the negotiations will not get what he wants. That's problematic for Trump and getting peace. That's why his focus is on Zelensky. The barbs at Trump are just intellectually lazy and stupid.
Zelensky ****ed up today. He has three choices… kiss the ring, resign or lose American support and the rest of his country.
Another wild thing about all this.Quote:

Admittedly part of the problem is that Trump is larger than life.
He's got his own gravitational pull that causes people to take untenable positions to their detriment.
And that's what likely happened here.
The guy goes into the oval office to negotiate with the most famous man in the world, and the man with more political mandate than anyone in the world.
They had Zelensky so hyped up about standing up to Trump that he butt fumbled on the goal line.
The guy went tin there hyped up and tried to go toe to toe with two guys that are a foot taller and twice his size.
Zelensky got pumped up like Rudy but before he could make the tackle got de-cleated by a 6'6" TE.
This whole scene played out like some sick drug fueled delusion of grandeur.
