EVERY war in history eventually comes to an end. usually from one side being conquered.

so for just how much longer should the US taxpayer be spent into debt by the trillions, how much longer should the US Army drawdown on our weapons systems and ammunition?

it has been THREE YEARS of attriting Russia and ourselves.

tell us EXACTLY how much longer this will continue- until Russia breaks through the much smaller Ukrainian army and DOES roll up to the Dnieper.

By the trillions? No need to exaggerate.

It doesn't matter how long in time - only how good or effective the strategy continues to be. If you had offered five years ago to dramatically reduce russias capacity for war for $150bn and zero American lives lost, everyone would have said that's a great deal. The best use of DOD funds in decades!

Is the next incremental $50bn still a good deal? Depends on the goals in the region. If we want to continue to degrade Russian warfighting capacity, then yes.

It doesn't matter if Russia eventually wins if the the goal is to make that a Pyrhhic victory. In fact, the longer that drags out - the more losses to manpower they cannot replace - the better.

I don't know if we have. "Enough" means Russia stops their program of expansion that they've been on for the past few decades.

The US is not going to be materially economically impacted by continued materiel support to Ukraine. Those dollars are spent domestically anyway.

What about those Ukrainians getting killed? Russia has alot more manpower. That country could be wiped out if this thing goes much longer. They are already just grabbing people in the streets.

Russia could end this today if they actually wanted to. Offer to freeze the lines where they are now, have Ukraine leave the Russian areas they control, and a guarantee that Ukraine won't join nato and Ukraine likely has to accept the yet given that they are in the process of losing US aid.

Instead, the only deal Russia has proposed included land they don't currently have control of and was not a serious offer. So no, nothing Russia has done or said during their invasion has indicated they are interested in peace.

Sure, you could listen to them, or you could look at their actions. Continuing to murder civilians does not show much interest in peace imo, but obviously other perspectives will disagree

That only doesn't matter if you are one of the Americans not paying very much. In taxes. Then it is just Monopoly money to you.

And those dollars should be not be spent domestically, but rather returned to the taxpayers paying the lion's share of fed income taxes.
