That happens to me all the time.

Okay, not really. I think the black guy with the dad can suppress the powers of other "special" people.

The dad said... Dig as much as you can then make sure he doesnt remember? That should say he has more than that power.

i don't like the idea of people traveling through time at will, it kinda ruins the suspense that if something bad happens someone can go back in time to warn people, i mean paycheck was a good idea but know that he already was going to get out of every situation.

hiro needs rules to control him from ruining this show for me

also we have a rouge, someone who can fly, wolverine minus the atamantium, two telepaths at diffrent levels, and hiro who is a breath of fresh air as powers go but maybe unbaleneced, then syler who seems can do it all, and fire forks with his mind...

if only gambit would show up

Speaking of the cheerleaders dad, I'm starting to think maybe he isn't a bad guy. But I can't figure out his angle.

Any thoughts?

True, Iceman. I had forgotten that. I guess he can dig into people's minds. Maybe he can use that to suppress their power.

"S" tattoo on Nicki in Vegas - my wife said the tattoo was gone later on - is it only on her superhero alter ego?? Is that how you can tell them apart?

After tonight, odds on who is Syler

Mohinder's Dad - 10-1
Mohinder's young skinny girl friend - 2-1 (She had a key to the apartment, always been around, etc.)
Black Guy (looks like Seal) - before I would have said 3-1, now probably 8-1
Dad with glasses - 7-2
Hiro - 1,000,000 - 1

anyone think that maybe the black guy (evil Seal) is Las Vegas Niki's husband and Micah's dad?
Maybe he hasn't been on the run so much as helping Claire's dad for all these years.
If so, imagine the powers Micah must have...

Oh, and the RNA-like symbol is everywhere -- from the lines of DNA code to Evil Seal's necklace. You could even see that Claire had drawn it on a textbook in an earlier episode. I'm intrigued...

Also, it would be interesting to try and figure out how far into the future Hiro came from. Obvisouly, it can not be 5 weeks, since his English was flawless and he doesn't speak of lick of English now. Also, the way he looked and was dressed seemed completely different by today's standards. It looked like he was wearing a ninja suit of sorts. What if Hiro came back from a future past the bomb explosion and he is trying to get them to stop the bomb?

good show so far.

Niki is a Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde...The interesting thing is, that her body changes(slightly) when she is "in" a mode.

I dont know which side the next-door girl is playing but i dont know yet.

Again, Not sure if the dad is a bad dude...

It would be an interesting twist if them trying to stop the bomb from going off in New York is actually the cause of it when paranoia causes the govt to sacrifice New York to blow away all the evil "mutants"

I'm assuming that everybody saw the previews for next weeks show. So why will the cheerleader need to be saved to save the world? Will she have to sacrifice herself on "the bomb" to keep it from blowing up or causing less of an explosion?

I'm not sure what to make of that yet, either. She isn't invulnerable like Superman, though. Her body would just blow apart like anyone else's if she threw herself on a bomb. The only thing is, she can heal. But if her body was vaporized, there wouldn't be anything left to heal. She has always kind of put herself back together so far (putting her shoulder back into its socket, straightening a broken neck, closing her chest after having it split wide open, etc.).

The show just about lost me on the autopsy table...

I know.. why nit pick... the whole thing is about 'heroes' but for whatever reason, that seemed to be the biggest stretch.

Also, Hiro's powers seem waaaay to powerful. Like someone else said, if something bad happens, just stop time (or go back) and fix it.

"So you're saying the cheerleaders has claws as well?"

eh, my nerdiness comes out, logan's powers wasnt his claws, but his bodies ablity to regenerate, a goverment organization gave him the atamantium bones and claws

yeah, I've never been a big fan of the time travel angle for superheroes. Really, there is nothing that Hiro shouldn't be able to take care of himself if he can just warp all over the place and then freeze time.

Why do we even need these other "Heroes?"

Could Future Hiro have warped back and saved the professor from being killed in the first place and brought all the heroes together much earlier?? I don't, I guess I just think about it too much, but thats why I don't like having the time travel stuff to even worry about.
Vander
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Actually Logan always had the claws, it's just that since the government fused adamantium to his bones his claws became adamantium as well.

There was a time when he had the adamantium taken out and he still had the claws.

Basically Logan's mutant power has 2 parts, the regeneration and the animalistic powers.

The problem is that some of the heroes are way too powerful.

Hiro is essentially a walking time paradox, and unless Sylar has some sort of power that allows him to nullify powers from heroes then there is no way the Heroes can't stop the end of the world. Hiro could probably end the threat by himself if it weren't for a dues ex machina situation that will likely cause the villains to get out of his grasp.

Anyways, as for the story I personally think it's great and mirrors current American comics a lot. There are definitely things from both Marvel and DC that can be seen in this show (the brutally violent nature, the mistrust of those with powers, heroes normal people can relate to, etc.). With regards to the story, you couldn't ask for much more to make it more like the comics. I do however, hope that the explanation for their powers is evolution and not from government experiments.

So Hiro goes back in time to talk to Peter. He can do this because...

A)His powers have enough scope that he can choose to freeze time while also choosing not to freeze time for a specific person like Peter so he can then talk to him.

B)Since Peter is a mimic, when Hiro freezes time while in his vicinity, Peter also has the power of time manipulation and is therefor unaffected by the stoppage of time.

I dont know if this will ever even be looked into but theoretically when time is frozen, Peter should freeze with the rest of the world. If this is explained then I hope its explanation B and that this is why Hiro sought out Peter to warn.

B makes sense.

I am very interested in "Warrior" Hiro.

The previews for next week make me believe Peter is a mimic, which someone pretty much alluded to in an earlier post.

Seeing Ali lartner's little dance made me want to head out to a local establishment.

Japanese dudes are funny. Wish they would cut the Peter and his love interest thing out of the show. Just slows the thing down and is not interesting in the least.

Let's not forget the very obvious fact that since they are bringing in time travel and the space time continuum, there is an infinite amount of realities to which Hiro could have travelled. To visit all of them would require an infinite amount of visits in a moment in which time is stopped. Of course Hiro could do that, but it would take forever, although in the space-time continuum it would be instantaneous.

I think you all know where I'm going with this....

Hiro is a Chrono-Ninja.

But his powers didn't save him from a punch in the nose.

I like to take the view that the bomb has to go off. Isaac painted it and Hiro has seen it. If it doesnt happen then none of the other events of the show wold have happened either. I'm sure they wont go that way though. Although future Hiro does give a glimmer of hope...

The dates in the show have been consistend with the air dates, so November 8 the bomb goes off (or not).

He assumes the powers of the other heroes he's around. He can fly with his brother. He can see the future after he was painter guy.

A couple random theories...

Could Nathan and Peter's father be Sylar? They both have powers, so perhaps they got them from their father. Sylar got shot a bunch of times by the cop and still took off, so he more than likely has regeneration abilities as well, so it would be easy for him to stage a suicide. He also suffered from depression, and yada yada. Finally, when they were looking around Sylar's apartment, he had a big picture up of Nathan.

My other thought is that when Hiro finally comes in contact with Monhinder, couldn't he go back in time and save his father? I would assume this would help them as Dr. Suresh likely has the most information.

How long do you want to ignore this user?
In the previews, it looked like they show Peter flying and I don't think his brother was around (and he said he was floating in his bed one night).

I'm still not convinced he absorbs powers (I think that is Sylar's power).

If he absorbs powers from people around him, then it would have to be permanent based on the floating in bed and the preview of him flying (if that preview can be trusted as something that will definitely happen).
