Dude, really, sometimes these arguments remind me of the two nerds in STAND BY ME arguing over who would win a fight to the death: Mighty Mouse or Superman?

Duh, it would be Superman, cuz super dude trumps super rodent.

Speaking of Sylar and being closer to the manhole cover after he was stabbed; could this be a hint to the show's constant dialogs about the roach? Didn't the first show have Suresh give a speech that the roach was superior to humans because it could live 'x' days after the head was removed. When Sylar was captured by the OWI and held in the cell, didn't Sylar have a pet roach? Though I did not catch it, supposedly there was a roach near Sylar's body in the last episode?

Peter couldn't fly away himself because of his emotional state. He was scared. He even said it when they met Nathan in the parking garage. He was scared and he needed his brother to help him. Nathan was Peter's "hero." The two saving New York together made the most sense of anything else in the finale. Kind of sad that Claire lost both her biological father and her uncle.

Other notes: I can only assume that Molly can still project even while unconscious. The fake Micah disappeared but she still stayed the same. I agree that she does not look anything like that. My guess is she's an overweight, homely-looking woman with severe self-esteem issues. Maybe only her death can stop her projection.

I, too, wondered if Linderman would be able to "heal" himself but I kinda doubt even he could do that once DL did that to his head.

I hope Parkman survives (though he should have been killed instantly). Not that I want him to continue in the show, just that it'd be kind of depressing knowing that he died with a child on the way.

Well, we certainly do have a lot more stuff on the way, what with the ongoing online comic, Volume II and also a six-part Heroes: Origins show coming out in the fall.

oh, and about whether or not Claude and Peter were invisible when Claude tried to hit him with the pole...

if you watch the episode, when Claude picks up the pole, it disappears...hence, they were invisible, and Peter used to TK to stop the pole while invisibl
I will have to go back and watch that scene again. You seem pretty sure of yourself that Peter used two powers at the same time there.

Just understand that I am not saying that Peter has never used two powers at once. I'm leaving open the possibility that right now, he doesn't have that level of control over them. And even if he did in that one situation, it doesn't mean he does all the time. And, in fact, we know he does not have full control over all of his powers even one at a time. Because, if he did, he would have been able to stop himself from exploding.

Oh, and can we stop referring to Simone's father as "the old black guy".......it was RICHARD ROUNDTREE!

Some questions from the finale:

Do we know that Nathan and Peter are dead? Peter can regenerate and who is to say Nathan didn't just fly off right as Peter was going to explode.

We now know there is another antagonist. Who is it? We know Molly said it was a he. But we all know that anyone in this show could be anything. My guess is that Grandma Petrelli is the evil one.

When Peter passed out he had a dream that showed him events of the past. Does this mean he has absorbed Mohinder's ability?

i agree that Peter does not have full control over all the powers...simply saying that he can, and has used 2 powers at once.

Bill, I think you mean to say Candice...and I took it as when she goes unconscious she stops being able to create illusions, since when she hit the ground she ceased to look like Ali Larter. I now believe she really does look like a hot chick.

Not so sure about Nathan, but I am pretty sure that Peter is NOT dead.

here's an interesting question about Peter and Claire. What would happen if they drowned or were suffocated (i.e. flew up high in the atmosphere where there is no oxygen)?

That probably wouldnt matter redline, since claire already walked through fire twice. I am sure there wasn't too much oxygen in the house when she was trying to stop ted from exploding. It was hot enough that her face skin actually burned off, so I'm pretty sure she wasnt breathing oxygen at that point in time. I guess she didnt stay in there long enough to die from it, but she certainly didnt act like she wasn't able to breathe

In the alternate future, Peter blew up New York and he survived. There's no reason why he didn't survive this.

Maybe when Peter fell he landed on one of those pointy iron fences and impaled his head?

I've never seen him use THREE powers at once.

He's dead!

Speaking of Parkman...I was watching the first season of Lost the other day, and guess who had a cameo? "Parkman" was the pilot of the flight and smokey's first victim. Pretty funny to see how far he's come!

After hearing their explanation on why Peter didn't explode without killing anyone you can bank on Peter AND Nathan being dead.

Parkman was on Felicity for goodness sakes. He has come miles. But I agree with cainer; now I hope he's dead.

You've been wondering, we've been wondering, and you have to figure that Niki, Claire, HRG/Noah, Matt, et al, were wondering, too. At the conclusion of the Kirby Plaza skirmish on Heroes' first-season finale, why didn't Peter just fly his explosive self up, up and away, instead of making Nathan take one for the team, as well? Presented by TV Guide with that burning question, series creator Tim Kring pauses before saying, "You know, theoretically you're not supposed to be thinking about that."

When assured that viewers are, Kring confirms that — as many have theorized — radioactive Peter's other powers were "incapacitated" at that pivotal moment, and "somewhere in there is the explanation" for having Nathan grab his bro and do the "flying man!" thing. "But the real explanation is that we wanted Nathan to show up and [save the day]!"

"Yes, I will admit that there’s a very tiny window of logic there," Kring continues with a laugh. "But what can I say? It's requires the proverbial suspension of disbelief." Which, when airing opposite 24, a season finale is certainly allowed.
