Did anyone else have a Directivo malfunction?
I tuned in about 8:15 to start catching up on the recording and saw that it didn't record saying that there was an episode of same title in the last 28 days which is an error....just curious to see if it happened to anyone else

At the beginning of last weeks episode, Hiro from the Future tells Peter that he is afraid to do more because "it might cause a rift" Presumably he has figured out that going back in time and changing things is not good.
Also, has anyone noticed the weird way that the scenes change from the end of the last episode to the beginning of the new. The lines are even different in most cases. I guess this is paying homage to comic books? The first scene in the next issue rehashes the last scene in the last one but it isnt identical???

After that last episode, getting kinda confused. Something makes me think that stripper girl rids herself of the alter ego but maintains the power. Everyone in that front picture seems to be heading towards the good guy section.
Which makes me now wonder where daddy dearest falls into it. His directives aren't purely evil as he has not killed or removed the brains of those he kidnaps. It's almost as if he is monitoring the progress of the "Heroes".
Only time will tell with this series. I'm really hoping this doesn't turn into The Lost again. Great start, good character development, and the writers didn't know where they wanted to go.

I know this isn't the Lost thread but I always feel the need to defend this notion. If you listen to the commentaries on the DVD's and numerous interviews with the creators, they have a five season story planned out.

A few thoughts on Claire and Co.
1) No way those were the cheerleader's real parents. BGD (Bad Glasses Daddy) would not allow that kind of disrupting influence into his daughter's life, IMO.
2) On the subject of BGD, I'm REALLY not sure that he's bad at all. In truth, we have not seen him do anything bad to anyone except the QB rapist, and he deserved everything he got.
3) If anything, BGD hearing "Save the cheerleader, save the world" could be a very good thing for all concerned. If Sylar is the guy who goes after Claire, he could be the only thing standing between them, and his experience with the heroes might then not be such a bad thing.

quad, I think (b) is the right answer. I think that somehow, Sylar is stealing powers, and hers would be the most valuable to him.

All they seemed to do to him is erase any memory of them. It could be bad, but the fact remains that we have yet to see him or his henchmen actually harm any of the heroes.

What if....(here we go) Suresh's dad was NOT murdered and actually took a different form (i.e. the iguana that happens to conveniently come up at random times) and is still alive? The actor who plays the role is recognizable (while not being super famous) and it doesn't make sense that he would just show up on the cover of a book. I think he will popup in the form of a flashback (as has been mentioned before) but just what if...
My crackpot theory is that the, as of now, dead professor's had a special ability as well. His power was to find other people with power. This is what drove him so passionately, and it also caused Sylar or someone else to kill him. They wouldn't want to be tracked.
Ramblin, would you say that maybe HRG (or daddy dearest) would have a similar power - which is how he has tracked all of the "heroes" from all over?
No clue, but I don't think so. If HRG daddy didn't have access to all of Suresh's dad's info already, then he does now through Eve. He probably also has some government connection, and the FBI tipped him off about the cop. Eve probably tipped him off about the politician before he went after him.

I've thought that the Professor most likely had powers that enabled him to sense others with powers (ala Professor X). I also think the cheerleader's dad also has someone with similar ability (like the guy who can erase minds).
I believe the cheerleader's dad (can they just give him a name, already??) heads up some super-secret government agency formed to investigate and track people with powers. Whether or not the group's intentions are good or evil is still up in the air.
