No, Ali Carter's character is not Sylar. She loses time when her alter ego takes over... but not enough time for her to get across country and live in an apartment in New York.
The cheerleader has to run, but if you see the previews she gets revenge from the guy who tried to rape her.
Also, it is obvious that Hiro and Niki will meet in LV, but how do they all fit in a Versa and travel to NY in a Versa.
One more thing about the cheerleader, if she came back to life after the stick was removed, does that mean that she would die if she was shot and remain dead until the bullets are removed?

They don't have to take the Versa. Hiro's comic only showed up to the point where they leave the airport in it. They could ditch it and take Niki's convertible the rest of the way.
Either way, Hiro's got to get to NY so he can buy the next issue of his comic so he knows what he's supposed to do next

I hear Versa's are very roomy. And they get much better gas mileage than that Caddy.
I like the whole "Hiro following the comic book" angle. Basically, he will be the one bringing everyone together.

Dr. Suresh's (The dad not Mohinder) character...is Syler
The cheerleaders dad is a goodguy (kind of like Xavier in X-men)
and Ali Larter absorbs other hero's power by doing them...okay I exagerrated on this one, but that would be a pretty cool character.

Yeah, and there was one copy of Dr. Mohinder's book in Sylar's apartment. Why would Dr. Mohinder need a copy of his book? And if he just keeps copies around to sign/give out or whatever, why would he have just one?

After rewatching all three episodes I picked up on many small details I didn't notice before.
Something my girlfriend pointed out to my (that I don't think has been mentioned here yet) is an "s-looking" symbol. This symbol has been in the painter's apartment, on the cover of mohinder's dad's book on evolution, all of the photos on the pics in the map, Claire's geometry book, etc. It was also in the pool of the little girls house, and on the necklace of the guy in the bar whose mind the cop couldn't read.

Yeah, that symbol shows up a lot. Its also visible in the scrolling lines of computer code for one of the episodes.

My guess is that if anyone can absorb powers from another "hero", it would be the politician's brother. He has only flown when he was physically near the brother. When alone (on the playground), he couldn't. His mom also made a big deal about him being "the sensitive one" or something like that.
I really like the show, but I'm worried that it won't be able to sustain this level of intensity for 22 episodes. I kinda wish it had been a mini-series.

I agree. I think that at least a long, pilot movie would have helped move things along. And, if the pace doesn't pick up a bit, I may have trouble staying with it.
I'm betting we'll start to see the pace pick up awfully quickly as some of the characters start to meet each other. Nearly everything so far as been exposition.
