Ok, someone summarize the first 5 minutes of last night's show. I came in as the dad was talking to the Cheerleader in the hospital where she told him she lied and explained about the attempted rape.

that little boy has to have some serious powers. I think he has been in contact with his dad for awhile now, and the dad will turn out to be a good guy.
The mysterious black guy is a different person from DL (niki's ex and Micah's father). I think its clear that DL is not really a bad person. DL is wanted/convicted/whatever for murder but based on what weve seen so far, its pretty obvious that it was really Bad Niki that killed whoever it was that he suppsoedly killed (and we have already seen their bodies buried in the desert where Good Niki was made to bury the bodies of the porn henchmen that Bad Niki killed in the garage.

okay...the flying scene....really freaking well done compared to week 1. glad to see they opened up their wallets with regards to the cgi.
I think the original lacks in the CGI might have been a result of them not wanting to spend money on a show they were not sure would last even part of a season...

Calling my shot, the cheerleader is a bad guy (girl). By saving the cheerleader (converting her to good), the other heroes save the world.
I just finished the episode online. A couple of things. It really seems that everyone except for Nicki, the Cop, and the Cheerleader are coming full circle to meet. Also, might there be a connection between the man who is giving the 4 million to Patrelli and Sylar?
Finally, please please do not drag this out for ever, this is a great show but I don't see how the story line can last more than 2 maybe 3 season.

wow, just wow. i just watched the latest episode, & wow. how awesome was that. peter's character has way more depth than just flying & hiro is just freaking awesome.
i can't figure out the cheerleader's dad, but i do thihk nikki's husband is involved w/some power. i used to think he was the guy working w/claire's dad, but i don't think that is him.

Why is the cheerleader so important? Does she save the world or is it just important for them other "Heroes" to save her so that they group can be formed?

Is it possible that Sylar somehow is able to absorb the powers of other heroes through some treatment of their brains?
--That would explain the way Peter's picture turned out, with the top of Claire's head missing.

seems like he can already regenerate, vis a vis him not going down after taking 4 or 5 bullets in episode 2 or 3 (i forget which)

I'm almost positive he's bad, but the show's got to have some major twists coming up. I thought he was angry that Cheerleader didn't come clean about her power, but it appears he was mostly angry about her rape. He cleaned the quarterback's clock (rapist / murderer) pretty good. That's something a good guy would do. He also didn't kill the quarterback. He gave him a "second chance" - another good guy quality.

I think he is bad or working on a cause that goes against the heroes. However, is it possible that he adopted cheerleader because he knew all along about the powers or maybe she was planted in his family with the future knowledge that she would play a role in the destruction of NYC?
This conspiracy could go back to the birth of all these people and maybe Dr. Sharesh (sp?) senior has known about everyone all along and has mapped them out and their futures.

I'm not necessarily sure he took those bullets. A telekinetic would (theoretically) be able to stop the bullets in some way, and the shock of the stop could have knocked him down.
As mentioned earlier, someone who is telekinetic could also freeze someone if he could influence molecules to stop motion, and fly to get away by using his power on himself.

This show just keeps getting funner and funner. I would like to see them go to two hour segments for several weeks; I think they could pick up even more of an audience.

Hiro's power isn't all powerful if this is true.
He can travel into the future and he can stop time and affect things, and teleport (His fighting ability will be similar to Nightcrawlers.) BUT he can only travel into the past and observe a motionless area, UNLESS the person has his power as well. So he could only talk to himself (ultimate time paradox) or Peter that would take on his ability. The ONLY way he can change the past is the way we saw him do it, i.e. tell peter to change it. At least this theory makes him not TOO powerful.
Also Nikki's ex that we see at the end of the 5th episode can walk through walls or did miss watch that.

I believe the Horned-Rim Glasses guy (the cheerleader's dad) will ultimatly be good (or at least not evil). He probably works for some secret government agency studying these heros.

This show has shown that the powers are passed on though the genes. He's raised her, waiting for something to happen. I really like this show. I'm home sick today and just finished watching the marathon I taped. I like the thoery of Sylar absobing their powers.
Brennus, as evidenced in the casino, Hiro can move objects when he stops present time so one assumes he could teleport to the past and move objects. If that were true, though, if he found out where a bomb went off afterword, he could go back in time, find it and move it to a safer location or disable it. He could also teleport to the future, read about an event that happens between the present and that future time, and then go to earlier in the future and change objects to prevent it from happening.
That's pretty powerful and means he probably wouldn't need the help of the others to stop the bomb. But then it wouldn't be as good a show, either.

right but we haven't SEEN him do this(in the past.) I am surmizing he CAN'T move them in the past, only interact with someone that has the same power.
If he could I agree he could save everthing and would be way too powerfull.

Well, for some people on this thread, 17 year old is just way too young. Larter is a more acceptable age. I feel young enough, though I'm probably not, to think 17 is still ok.
