Now I'm not one of those that campaigns for a venue change. I'm fine with it in Hoover.

But for those that want it moved. Look at the stands. Place is packed. Doubt it will be moved any time in the near future.

Imagine if A&M was playing Oklahoma. The crowds are bigger when teams with easier travel go deep.

Baton Rouge is 5.5 hrs from Hoover
College Station is 10 hrs from Hoover.
Knoxville is 3.5 hrs from Hoover

Looking at some old baseball stuff and noted that in 1989 Wichita State won the title with a 68-16 record. They played EIGHTY-FOUR games that year.

Used to be a 60 game regular season I think through the 91 season. If you would travel to Hawaii the NCAA would grant you more games also.

The teams on either side of them played 73, 71, 69, 70, 68...

In 85 Miami played 80, in '84 Fullerton 86 and in '83 Texas 80. Looks like WSU was slow to adapt.
