Alright guys, do we care what teams win games in Hoover that can affect the Ags? I need to know my rooting interests for each game.

I do not think it matters much.
First game is tough.
You got the cheatin' Bulldogs against LSU.
Got no clue on this one.

Nope. These games will have little affect on us as far as our seeding. Maybe it affects who we play in the future but my guess is most likely not.

We certainly care about the night cap, between State and Ole Miss, but I don't know how you choose who you'd rather face. State is trying to get their RPI up high enough to be considered for hosting, which seems a longshot. I suspect they will try reasonably hard to have a deep run. Ole Miss has to win the tournament so they will be using everything in their arsenal.

As to the rest of today's games, I don't think there is much of an A&M angle. We would have more interest in the Florida/Vandy game because they are on our side of the bracket, but, again, how do you choose one over the other? I guess maybe you pick the team that you think will give UT the best fight, and I might lean to Florida on that score.

South Carolina/Bama is not very relevant to us. Can't imagine either of those making it to the title game.

UGA/LSU might be of some interest, but would you rather UGA win, and help their argument for a top 8 seed, or not, and end up 9-16? I'm not sure that will matter to us unless we have a bad tournament and end up higher than the #5 national seed, in which case we might end up paired with UGA (highly unlikely; I think UGA is no worse than 9). LSU looks to be in the field. I'm sure they would like a deep run to remove any doubt, but the only way we see them again is if they pull some upsets. LSU winning some games might get them a 2 seed, which might be better for the integrity of the bracket: I would hate to be a 1 seed and get LSU as my 2, but I'd be really pissed to get them as my 3.

*womp* *womp* I can't get any SEC or ACC games since I'm a cheapskate and refuse to pay for TV. But I do get ESPN+ so I have Kansas v. K-State on right now with UAB v. Wichita State and FGCU v. Peay up at 10am.

Rooney on the call for the Big12 will be a nice background for me today.

Trying to decide if any of the seats at the Met are always in the shade. I don't think so. The 3rd base side gets the afternoon shade, but even the back row of seating looks to be in the sun right now.

Lots of shade on the 1B side right now, but I suspect it will have zero this afternoon. We'll see.

They hired a coon-ass coach year before last. Was actually a dark horse Big12 contender this year and then fizzled to 15-15 in conference. They need to really make a run this week if they have any hope to make the tourney.

Not to prove that we're both really old, but that's the weekend that Naquin got thrown out for arguing balls and strikes, right? Naquin. Who played in the World Series for Cleveland close to a decade ago now.

I don't remember that. It was 2012. What I remember is that Childress was tossed from the Sunday game and had no locker room to go to. He spent the rest of the game sitting underneath the 3B bleachers.
