That hunter pence trade was a huge flop
I don't know if this has been discussed before, but Singleton has had 420 career mlb plate appearances. He should probably retire to preserve the number for all time.
It hasn't been that bad to us...besides Singleton, that trade's fingerprints are on Marisnick and Moran, Fiers and Gomez, Daz Cameron.
The Blue Jays claimed Jesus Montero off waivers today and designated catcher AJ Jimenez for assignment. I've seen rumors of us being possibly interested In him, so something might be done there soon.
Singleton is terrible. I wondering if Singleton went into a meeting smelling like pot and somehow that smell got our GM stoned into giving him his contract

If Jon works out it was genius and saves a ton. If he doesn't it sucks the big one.
I'm not too broken up about it. We went for it and it hasn't worked out and in the grand scheme of things it's not a huge chunk of our payroll or anything.

Singleton's deal is small potatoes in a world where guys get tens of millions per year on the back end of contracts when they are past their prime.

I've read he's still with the team but already told he will not break from camp with them.

I think they want Moran to get as many at bats vs major league pitching as possible. So far he's been looking good. Him and Reed could be good additions later this year.
Moran will start the year in AAA, but something tells me we will see him soon. He's hit pretty well this spring. Depends on how Valtron does.

Unfortunately, another stinker by Fister. The back of the rotation is going to take some experimentation, at least until McCullers is back. Would really love to see someone like Feliz at least get a couple of starts to show what he can do.
Correa is hitting .432 on the Spring. Think he is ready for the season to start?

All depends on how Valbuena is doing in my opinion
Haven't looked into it lately, what are the current ramifications for Reed/Moran on service time? Are we looking at a deal like we have seen in the past where they just have to sit out 30-50 games to get them under team control for an extra year?
I think White's versatility and his ability to play 3rd gave him an edge to Reed. Now if Valbuena struggles White can play 3B and Marwin can play 1B or you can mix and match the three of them. I think that allows us to keep one more pitcher like Wandy on the roster. With the questions surrounding the back end of the rotation I think he'll be nice to have if needed.
