Isak looks absolutely terrible in this game. It's crazy how much money we spent on him

PSG may want to actually play Barcola, because for my money he's a better winger than Doue.

Yep. As we have all said, that signing has set us back years and was nonsensical in so many way . So uncharacteristic of Liverpool to chase headlines and going to pay dearly for it

To be fair to Isak a bit he's been Swedens best player this tournament by a country mile. He was fantastic in every single group game. Playing France most are going to look poor.

I'm worried his approach won't work with Iraola. He currently doesn't appear to have a very high work rate, something I saw when he played for Liverpool (but blamed Slot). He likes to play like an old school striker that generally saves himself for when the big moments arise. I don't think he has always played like this, as he used to be a winger earlier in his career. I have a feeling Iraola is going to ask more from him and will likely start by raising his intensity in preseason training. He will never be Bobby Firmino, but he needs to expand his area of influence if he is going to be an effective player at LFC.

He's definitely going to have to up the intensity some, especially if we play a the standard 4-2-3-1. But I think he can do it. He's actually a pretty quick dude when he's at full pelt.

What I think that we as Liverpool fans are going to have to realize here pretty quick is that goals are no longer going to come from the wings. Gone are the days where we have upwards of 60-70+ goal involvements from the wing. The goals and goal involvements are now going to come centrally, through a No. 9 in a more traditional sense. Thus our No. 9 will probably be hanging out up top in those attacking spots, and doing slightly less Darwin Nunez or Bobby Firmino. Not saying they aren't going to be required to run, but more so that we are not going to see them tracking back all over the field.

Richard Hughes leaving to join Simon Francis at Al Hilal. Thank goodness.

It'll be a little weird to see Kloppo on the bench of another team

I'm going to go ahead and put some money down on Germany for the Euros 2028. He's going to have them turned around overnight and playing completely different.

I would expect some serious roster changes too. And whole lot more running from the wings and midfield.

We're currently seeing Marc Guehi get absolutely pantsed in aerial duels. One of the reasons I was not upset with him going to city. He's small.

Both England CBs tbh.

Well the US managed to undo just about all of the good will and positive vibes they had generated thus far in the World Cup, so that was fun.

Getting the team back together didn't seem to work this time. The first go round, there was much more of a "money ball" approach to transfers. Over the last two years there was a lot of talk about taking advantage of Man City's decline, which I think did lead to some of the big spending last summer. I'm interested to see how the transfer policy shifts.
