It is definitely not a default setting of the car. My navigation will happily have me arriving at single digit values. I don't like that so I will adjust to provide buffer. Arrive at percentage is an as needed setting on specific end points. If you don't need it and it's active I would suggest hitting change arrival percentage on the route planner and hit clear.

Been flipped off at least 3-4 times since Friday simply for being in a cybertruck lmao
Amazing FSD maneuver, wow!

I’m at a red light in the middle of 5 lanes of traffic.
My Cybertruck sees an ambulance approaching from the rear… but the intersection is mostly blocked.
So, it turns right across 3 lanes into a safe pocket, leaving a clear lane for the emergency… pic.twitter.com/FNBMaGaOob

I am thinking about trading in my truck for a Tesla. I have a 2021 Sierra AT4 and I have a little over a year left on the extended warranty and this model has had a lot of major problems that get really expensive to fix. We are spending around $900 a month in gasoline for three vehicles/three drivers and according to chatgpt I would save more money in fuel costs than my payment ($270) would be on the model y.
We are thinking about getting one with the wall charger in our garage and using it for any longer day trips where we have enough range to not need a to charge away from home.
I think my wife and I would love the supervised FSD. My truck doesn't have the technology package so it doesn't even adjust speed for me in cruise control or have automatic emergency braking.
We are doing a test drive soon. Please tell me why this is a good or bad idea.

This whole Tesla application process just got intense fast after being so simple.
I had already uploaded the insurance on my current vehicle a couple of days ago in the app which I thought was sufficient enough. Last night I started checking out Tesla insurance and AI said based on some lifestyle inputs/future driving habits I told it that I should go with Tesla insurance and that it should be cheaper than a traditional provider.
I got a quote from the app and sent it to my current provider this morning. She was in meetings and hadn't responded yet and suddenly I get a text from Tesla at 11:45 today that I need to have the new VIN added and new policy uploaded by 2 PM today.
That's quite the quick turnaround deadline. I got my current agent on the phone and she said to just go ahead with Tesla insurance and if I don't like it I can switch back. I go back in the app and submit to Tesla. Then they just sent me another text at 1:23 and said to go back in the app and review and sign all documents by 2 PM today.
Not to mention that Tesla's insurance says it recommends being executed three days prior to delivery. Well I only got the delivery notification yesterday and I'm picking the car up tomorrow so that's an impossible window anyway.
TL;DR Does anybody use Tesla insurance?

I don't have one yet but will likely buy a Tesla soon. My family drives around 50k miles per year combined and I was hoping to have me or my wife use the Tesla every time one of us has a decent amount of miles to drive in a day so I am expecting to hit 20 to 25k miles a year on it.
On the Tesla website if you double the yearly miles the quote seems to double. I think it can be pretty cheap if you are putting 10k or less miles per year.

He died. Woke me up, collapsed to the floor and died in the car on the way to the vet in <30 minutes of me waking up. It was more traumatic than that, but I'll spare the details. Don't know what caused it. Vet guessed heart or undiagnosed hemorrhaged tumor because of how fast it happened. He was 12 but was running around like a puppy up until he died.

I am going to test drive both a Tesla and a Rivian R2 this weekend. I am pretty much set on the Tesla but my cousin that will be with me is looking too and leaning toward the R2 so we are going to check out both.
The R2 sounds like it might be fun to drive but I really want the FSD and my guess is that they are years away from getting to where Tesla is currently and by then they might want you to buy the new model in order to get it.
