What I've been finding doing tons of research for my next car is that other bigger brands have caught up and surpassed the electric car part of things, and BMW is blowing by them in range almost uncontested, but Tesla is still way ahead on the software. Which specifically, and most critically means FSD. I am a huge Tesla supporter and stock holder, and was set to buy one until the last few weeks, but the more I experience the competition the more I am concerned about this. If others get close to the FSD, Tesla better keep pushing hard to stay ahead in the overall experience. I am assuming that's why they've diversified so much and aren't focusing on consumer cars as much as other projects compared to not that long ago. I get the sense they realize that consumer vehicles are going to have an even playing field at some point, and money needs to be made elsewhere. Cybercabs, Optimus, batteries, etc, seem to be getting a lot more attention right now. But maybe im wrong and overthinking things. I just really want them to stay in front, which is good for the overall industry anyway.

Grok Bot just released for Tesla and I'm blown away

I was lucky enough to have early access. Having your car drive you around while you talk to an army of agents is incredible

Tesla just increased the repair estimate for my seatbelt from $200 to $800 and I am inclined to cancel the service now. That's insane to me. I can't find the specific issue online but I am going to at a minimum look for a third party shop. Their service center claimed they would have to take all the trim off the interior which I don't understand because the mechanism is inside the seat. I'm going to be forced to make a reddit account or some **** to get the help of the hive mind.

Something I've noticed very recently when using FSD. A couple of days ago I was driving back to CS from IAH and the car wanted to stop and charge in Navasota. That seemed odd because my mental math said I had enough to get home. But it was late and I was tired so I stopped and plugged in then looked the charge I was at and realized I definitely had plenty to get home and then a lot more. Confused I looked at the arrival energy settings and it was at 30%. I've always kept that at 10% but there it was and I couldn't move it below 30%.
Am I the only one seeing that? There was definitely no reason for me to drop and charge 20 minutes from my house with 17% left. Now today I'm driving to Houston and the arrival limit has a floor of 40%. I can't find a setting anywhere to fix this back to the 10% I want it at and that's very frustrating. Navigation is WAY less useful if there's an arbitrary arrival energy level I can control.

Don't think I've ever used an arrive at percentage and not sure why I'd use it when headed back to my house. Only time I've cared about an arrive at percentage is when the destination is sufficiently far from a charger.
