Had Rosie's last night and we thought it was pretty good. Price was good too.

I liked that I was able to order a kids meal. It was the perfect amount of food (actually didn't finish it). But we had gotten the bread appetizer too.

This is great. Their patio and patio/bar specific menu was one of our favorites when we lived over there.

We tried it last week. My wife loved the veggie pasta dish and sent me back for it a couple days later.

I got a to-go order the first time and went inside to order and wait instead of using the drive-thru. The place was spotless and the employees were all smiles and very friendly and attentive.

We will be back.

Hartt BBQ had a "Soft Opening" today.

They are in the old Wokamole spot at 4001 E 29th, Bryan.
They will be open Thursday and Friday, starting next week.
I posted this on BCS Coming and Going, but figured it belonged here.

Went to try Hartt BBQ today and it was very good! We got there around 10:45 and got to talk to the owner (Mitch) for a few minutes. Super nice guy. They have been catering for about 3 years. His dad, Jim was helping out and we talked to him also. Says right now they will be open Thurs-Fri so it doesn't interfere with their catering business.

I had the trinity, brisket, pork ribs and jalapeno cheddar sausage (homemade) and one side poblano Mexican street corn. Price was $30. Given prices for eating out, it was a good price.
All the meats were great, good bark on the brisket, good smoke on the ribs and good taste, sausage was well spiced and good.
Street corn was also great. Will definitely be going back. Good to have a choice that competes with 1775.

TLDR: Go get some of this bbq! Great bbq at a good price!!

Probably painted it orange on purpose with the full intention of going back over it maroon.

Guess you're recommending that all of us adults just order children's meals from the menu since you didn't even finish it? Is this a hack?

I almost always order off the kids menu. For example…Javis I get kids crispy taco with rice n beams and a frozen margarita. It's plenty of food.

Man, good luck opening a BBQ place at current beef prices. We used to go to Coopers once every week or two but haven't been in months. It just got too expensive--I once spent over $30 for a single (admittedly large) beef rib and thought to myself I could've gone to Caso do Brasil and had a variety of meats for that much money. But I love BBQ and will try to check it out.

A friend & I had Rosie's Pasta Bar this weekend. We split a side Caesar salad, side Mediterranean (though it seemed so generous it seemed more like the full), an order of Fredo, and the pepperoni rolls. It was all absolutely delicious!! I had enough pasta left to eat with some of the salad for dinner last night. I also ordered the bread to go to round out my carb-fest last night... it's dangerous that it's so close to home. Can't wait to try more! It was all very fresh and perfectly seasoned.

Even though I'm fat, I don't eat a lot in one sitting. Kids meals usually fill me up, and even then don't always finish them. I'm guessing for normal adult they would want more than a kids meal.

Picked up Taco Tuesday at Coco Loco on Welsh for lunch. There were only 2 tables in there. Hope this isn't normal. I don't go often, but I do like it (especially their hot sauce).

Same here. Mojo Tortilla has become a regular after church spot for us. Love the management there.

We had Rosie's about four times in a two-week period, so we took a brief hiatus. Going back this week though! My wife loves the gluten free option and said that it tastes amazing. She would probably order the kid's portion, but she likes leftovers for lunch.

That's weird I meet folks for breakfast pretty regularly and there typically at least a dozen tables. Several tables with students doing Bible study, TAMU folks, fire fighters, etc.

I used to stop in regularly for breakfast to go when I would drop my kiddo off at the high school, and yes, it was always pretty busy. Since she drives, I haven't been for breakfast in over a year.

I thought $10 for a taco plate with chips and salsa to go was a good deal.

Just a question- my taste buds, unfortunately, believe that anything more than a little garlic is too much. I had the chicken bacon ranch pasta, which should have been perfect for me - but I could only eat about a quarter of it before the garlic got to me. Are there other dishes without as much garlic, or am I just out of luck? Thanks!
