Has anyone ever tried this fish and ribs place? It's at hwy 21 and San Jacinto.
Drove by a few weeks ago on my way to photograph stuff and was surprised it was open, I thought it had closed years ago.

I did once, because I just had to see what a fried rib tasted like. The service was fast, and the price seemed reasonable. I enjoyed the fried ribs, but felt like they were more of a novelty than a meal. They tasted like fried pork chops without a lot of meat. I would like to go back and try other food there, but don't find myself over there too often.
Has anyone recently tried to place an order with Gringos curbside? I'm getting message that they are experiencing high order volume and won't let me proceed. 2nd time this has happened.

I imagine the Friday night before valentines days is pretty busy and they're more concerned with the people at tables or in line for tables.

We order curbside often, but they have been pushing specials for Valentines hard for the past couple weeks, and I'm guessing there is just a lot of takers for that deal.
I would try calling it in instead of using app/web, if that's what you're doing...
I ended up calling. No busier than usual and I was the only one in curbside. This is the 2nd time this has happened.

That really depends on your budget. Many places do a great job with box lunches - ie: Blue Baker, Jasons Deli, Walk Ons. But others can set up or provide a buffet-style meal as well.
Budget isn't endless but want to do something not sandwhiches

While Olive Garden isn't amazing, I do like their boxed lunch options. Usually includes a personal salad and then either spaghetti, alfredo or maybe one other thing. Have had it twice.
After recently agreeing to do a catering for architecture for a friend and coincidentally accepting a consulting job for a country club, I got inspired to put more energy into the catering arm of our company. Email me if you're interested! We'll do anything from box lunches to personally chef at your house!

Thank you kindly. Those damn strawberry tarts are a pain to make and require more labor cost than I'd like, but people love them. Many people don't know that we still serve them at La Bodega.
The stuffed peppers are with seasoned meat. Then we did dollops of an herbed aioli, petite diced dates, and pistachio dust. They had a real unique punch of flavors
I dunno if a bunch of engineers will appreciate a palate ballet is sophisticated as that.
If we need to make chopped brisket sandwiches, or do a BYO burger from Burger Mojo, we'll do it! If they want tacos we have Mojo Tortilla Co. Just let us know!!

Nope. This is my first lunch and learn for a company in B/CS, as I hope to grow more business up here I am trying to do something outta the box.
The BYOburger sounds amazing as does the MojoTaco bar.
I gotta find out what if any dietary restrictions there are.

Nice thing about a taco bar is you can handle most food allergies easily.

I tried it right before covid. It's good. Make sure you are well stocked with statins and fiber tablets.
I almost met Andreas Dallis at my work today. Don't want to go into the details but I had everything ready, and the minute he comes in, I had to step out of the front area.
