The poke place near Tad's is also a ramen place and as far as I know, still isn't open. It seems like it's just been sitting there unopened for a year (or more).
Has anyone tried the Mexican food truck that's in the Exxon gas station over by Tad's? I always forget about them and I literally live a mile away.

What an absolute disappointment Dimasis has been here. After enjoying the Houston area locations for so many years I keep giving the local one repeated chances and they keep failing.
Ongoing issues: food, protein especially never at warm temps (and we've literally told them this each time)
Today's issue other than that some of the food was 100% leftovers from yesterday. Stale tasting and obviously warmed up.
Coke machine out, staff told, and in a 35 min seated period it's never refilled in spite of 2 additional reminders.
I really do not like going after small business w reviews or message board stuff but they are no longer small and their staff puts in 0 effort. Totally riding their bigger city reputation

Agreed. I have been twice and wasn't impressed. I really wanted to like it.
That completely sucks. We've been waiting to go to let them work out any kinks but it seems they aren't going to.
I've heard the same.
Yikes. I still haven't tried them but I don't do buffets anymore. Hope they get their act together.

FWIW the Dimassi's on East Freeway in Houston shuttered after less than two years in operation.

I too was disappointed in Dimasis and had been very excited for them to open. There were some good things, sure. But, more misses than at other locations I have been to.

I've never owned a business. But it just amazes me the places that open, have obvious service/quality issues, make no apparent adjustments or attempts to improve, and then fail.

I would suggest sticking with the regular menu items. Almost every time I have ordered a daily special, I wish I would have ordered from the menu.

Thanks for the responses, I think I will go with the South American steak or the red fish. Someone else at the table will most likely get the filet so I can See that one that way.

I recommend you go ahead and make a reservation for November or December, as that is when they will have their English Toffee Cake (sticky toffee pudding). It is absolutely amazing.
