Warmind Live Stream Preview + Trailer April 24th
Warmind will make it tougher to reach max level
Soft cap is 340 and hard cap is 380 (without +5 mods)
The grind for the last 10 levels (370-380) is increased. They expect it to take as long for you to get those last 10 levels as it did for 340-370. Idea is to allow a comfortable path to reach end game recommended levels but make achieving max level rewarding.
Exotics that are not from weekly rewards will drop the same level as legendary engrams

Yep here is my long ambitious story that I know we won't see but here's how I'd write it,
We are gonna have reports that Hive looking for the Warmind on Mars to hack into and gain control of. The Warmind Charlemagne used to be in the Dust Palace but went missing a while back. These reports will lead us to Hella's Basin and, my guess, eventually the South Polar Cap where we'll receive a distress call from Ana Bray who is protecting a dormant Charlemagne from the Hive with a bunch of Frames. Charlemagne will sense us and awaken and release SIVA as a defense mechanism like Rasputin did on Earth. This will result in corrupting those frames probably attacking us as well. Climax is we fight to and somehow shut off its power source (I don't think we'd destroy it) and Ana will transfer it into an Exo giving us a new super powerful/knowledgeable NPC buddy that'll help fight the darkness in the future (basically Vision from Marvel).
Reasons this may happen:
- Reasons this is Ana Bray - There is a Warmind structure shown below her (Bray's are closely tied to Warmind tech), her wolf patch on her shoulder more closely matches her cloak in Destiny 1 (Strength of the Pack) than an Iron Lord wolf patch, there is a hidden ghost scannable (Ana Bray's Journal) in the Destiny 2 Tower above Future War Cult that mentions most of the journal entries are redacted. Also in Arecibo Adventure on Io, in the Warmind Vault, a scannable says that some data was scrubbed by someone named "Bray"
- Reasons this is NOT Ana Bray She'd dead.SupposedlyBUT come on, transferring consciousness into an Exo (a process which her family created) is much cooler than dying.
- The Hive have attempted to hack Warminds before (We stopped Omnigul from hacking Rasputin in D1)
- Charlemagne's Vault - A location cut from Destiny 1, that if my guess above is right, could be repurposed as the location of the Warmind that Ana and the Frames are protecting.
- An Exo Warmind Concept art of an Exo was described him as a puppet controlled by a Warmind. They could reveal this or make it a point to have Ana Bray transfer the Warmind into an Exo body.
- The strong presence of the Hive will lead nicely into the Fall expansion which is supposedly based around Savathun (Oryx's Sister)
Reasons this may not happen:
- Rasputin is sort of a ambiguous character who we can't tell if he is good or bad. In D1, he regained control of all of the Warminds and it's strongly hinted that he is the one controlling the music and distress signal sent in the Arecibo adventure on Io. It's very likely Charlemagne is not dormant at all and Rasputin has essentially just shifted his base of operations from the Cosmodrome to Mars. Basically puppeteering the whole situation using Charlemagne's hardware. If this were the case then I'd highly doubt Ana Bray is doing much protecting and would probably just reach out to us and ask that we help stop Rasputin's takeover.
- Maybe Rasputin is puppeting this Exo Ana Bray.

Yep, it hurts to imagine where Destiny 2 would be had they not got rid of the things that made D1 great. I'd love to see what Bungie could do if they ever were playing from ahead. I know I'm already caught in the cycle though. I have the season pass so I'm getting Warmind, I actually have faith with the Fall Expansion and onward but can't bring myself to have confidence in the D3 team to not have a repeat disaster so I'm playing for a while.

THIS!! is why Destiny 2 is such a flop. Take out all the bugs and errors they have made, because, well, Bungie's working as intended.
They removed everything that we loved in the original Destiny by making everything the same. There's no lore, no unique weapons to fight for, everyone has the same stuff and we all win. Yay.
In reality, no one wins. There's no competition. It's all teamshots for crucicble, which was nerfed to 4v4. When the prestige mode on the raid was released, you got a new shader on the armor, let me show you my surpised face...
Now, I get that they are scrambling to try and bring some folks back, but by making it a "safe place where everyone wins!" it makes a game that was competitive and challenging so vanilla in Destiny 2. I understand their perspective with nerfing stuff like Gjallerhorn in the first Destiny because it seemed like folks were being singled out for not having it, but not letting you get a weapon like Fatebringer unless you did the hard mode VoG gave you a reason to keep playing. There are NO incentives to keep playing if you have the gear sets right now. No unique weapon drops=no reason to grind because, let's be honest, there's no lore or story left to discover. Really, an "infinite" forest that has take the same freaking path just with a new turn on every mission for Osiris was you new story? Give me a break!!
I'll come back for the content drops and DLCs, but the Bungie live team has a lot of work cut out for them to bring me back with any consistency...

I know it doesn't say WE, specifically, will destroy a gargantuan worm god but...please...Bungie...Don't tease me like this.Quote:
Now free, the Hive swarm in service to their god Xol. Help Ana discover her past and destroy the Hive's gargantuan worm-god before it is too late.
