Changes in Crimson Days Event (Feb 13th)
3 new Crimson Days exclusive items rewarded from nightfall, raid, and milestones. Crimson Engrams won't replace Illuminated Engrams like in the Dawning. Crimson Engrams can drop from crucible and milestones. Duplicate reduction on Crimson Engrams.
XP Rates
XP adjustments coming eventually but no definitive plan yet.
FUTURE ROAD MAP
Jan 30th
Masterwork armor: Increased protection during super and rerollable stats. Raid rewards will have a raid mod, drops from each major encounter, vendor rework, ghost from final bosses.
February Update
Nightfall reworked to include strike scoring instead of timer. Additional rewards based on score. No definitive plan on mods yet but focus on decreasing redundancy and their impact on power. Adjusting crucible pace of game. Back to back exotic prevention. Fireteams on map.

- Shifting focus on activity rewards instead of Bright Engrams (ghosts, sparrows, ships will be moved to achievement reward pools)
- provide a gameplay path to earn bright engrams and all contained rewards (including event engrams)
- Give players more direct purchase options and make adjustments to bright engrams so players can get what they want.

Changes in Crimson Days Event (Feb 13th)
- Completing the Nightfall (Legendary Emote), the Raid (Weapon Skin), and the Crimson Days milestones (Exotic Sparrow) during the event will reward you with exclusive gear.
- Earn both the Crimson Engram and the Illuminated Engram on level-up.
- Crimson Engrams can also drop from completing the Crimson Days match and from completing the Crimson Days milestone on each character.
- Each Crimson Engram is very strongly weighted to new rewards when decrypted until all new items have been obtained.

- Basically saying that they think it's too slow and lopsided towards grinding specific activities. They are still figuring a way to do this without nerfing the xp on the easier activities.

- Masterwork Armor - Intrinsic perk is increased damage reduction during Super. You can re-roll stat type using the Masterwork Cores and shards.
- Raid Reward Rework - Raid rewards will now feature mods with Raid specific perks. Raid items will drop from each major encounter. The raid vendor will also directly sell leviathan and eater of worlds armor and weapons for purchase with raid tokens and legendary shards. Also adding a new Ghost with raid specific perks that has a chance to drop from the final encounters.

February Update
- Stirke Scoring + High Score Tracking - Scoring is replacing the time limit mechanic in Nightfalls. Scoring is similar to D1 but with adjustments to emphasize competitive execution of Strike Objectives and support for player selectable score modifiers. High Scores will exposed in=game via new emblems and will unlock rewards. Also, there are plans for Clan and Community High Scores in the works.
- Mods 2.0 - Full rework. Focus on reducing redundant mods, more unique theming, and greatly increasing their impact on your power. This may come in Feb. or Spring.
- Quickplay Improvements - Adjusting game mode rules to increase the pace of game play and power ammo acquisition in Quickplay.
- Exotic Repetition Reduction - Prevents you from getting 2 duplicates in a row. (Meaning you can still get duplicates just not the same one back to back.)
- Fireteam members on Destination Map - Finally.

Spring 2018
- Crucible Ranks. 2 types of ranks. Valor - Rank goes up by completing matches and no loss penalties. Glory - Rank goes up when you win and down when you lose.

- 6v6 Playlist (in addition to the current 4v4 ones)
- Mayhem Event - Return as a limited time event.
- Planning changes to make quitting less common and improving security behind the scenes.

- Weapon and Ability Balance Pass - Info released leading up to Season 3
- Exotic Weapon and Armor Balance Pass - Each exotic is getting a look at to ensure it stands out from the rest of the gear and offer new exting ways to play.
- Seasonal Reputation - Vendors will have seasonal rank for seasonal rewards.
- Improved Iron Banner and Faction Rallies - focus on making them unique.
- Playlist Repetition Reduction - Reduces chances of dropping you in the same strike or crucible map as just completed.
- End Game Player Pursuits - Shift rewards from Bright Engrams to the end game
- Multi Emote - Customize all 4 emote slots.
- Vault Space - Short term solution is adding 50 slots. Still working on it. Adding exotic accessory slot so exotic sparrows, ships, and ghosts don't take up inventory slots.
- Heroic Strike Changes - adding modifiers.
