Sending out party or fireteam invites is pretty much always alright. Generally for this game you'll want to send a party invite before jumping into someone's fireteam but some won't care either way. If you see someone is in a fireteam of 3 or 6 check to see if they are running the nightfall or raid since those require some communication might be best not to join but again most people wouldn't mind regardless

Feel like you--Boogie, Kill, Dino--are the more experienced players, so I silently listen.
During IB, I'd notice the three of you would be in one area of the map and I'm some where else getting mauled by the other team.
So, I'd take off running in y'alls direction and find myself stranded again.

Haha, there are definitely moments where I don't feel like I can make a correct decision at all during a match. On control, like for Iron Banner, I focus on either taking a zone or defending a zone if we have 2 already. It helps to have decent weapons as well. Took me a while to get a good auto rifle like Uriel's Gift or The Number. My K/D is usually only around 1, so please don't feel like i'm the PvP guy to follow. I just try to communicate well so that even if I'm just cannon fodder, I'm at least helping my team for that match.

When playing control, make sure you listen to the zone call out. REALLY helps. And pvp is all team shot now. It's really really hard to win 2v1 in D2 compared to D1. Team shot is the meta, no matter the weapon.

yeah, 4v4 sucks. D1's 6v6 was more forgiving of solo gameplay. you could catch people off guard bc they were focusing on someone else. Now, if you don't run in groups, you are dead. once one team gets the upper hand, its hard to come back b/c once you respawn, you don't have time to regroup before the other team teamshots you again.littlebrotherag said:AGinHI said:

That's the truth! I usually run MIDA multi tool just for the increased speed to get away from bad situations and use Uriel's gift for actual engagements. I don't ever remember falling back in destiny 1, but that's how you have to play it in D2, fallback and regroup.

thats funny i do the exact same. midi for movement and long range and uriels for most of the engagement.
I'm so glad I'm not the only one. I tend to start matches pretty well. Get on in a few team kills. Get my number of defeated enemies up. Looking good. Feeling good. Then I die a few times and the entire second half of the match I'm scrambling to get back to the group and just completely lose it.

One thing I've kind of learned with control, if you have teammates that like to be organized it can be good to let everyone know which point you spawn by. Then maybe y'all can coordinate how to handle the next move. Or maybe that was just the last group that I played with.

Unfortunately the factions were a 1 week thing so there aren't any factions to join right now. Just finish your weekly goals on the Director and then Crucible or Strikes until you don't want to play anymore.easttexasaggie04 said:

I'm sorry about the crappy play last night in the nightfall. My wife was not thrilled with me because I was playing when she came home. You know, Mother Nature kicked in....

Wives aren't even the biggest problem at times for some!! You'd understand if you ever ran a raid/nightfall with eyeguy and he got a phone call right when his new business was opening up. No idea if he even checks this thread anymore, but that guy would be gone FOREVER at times. But, in all honesty, better to keep the wife aggro down. We don't need any casualties!
