We have plenty of timber. Right now the market is terrible and the mills aren't taking much timber

All our trees up here go to lumber for the most part. Hardwoods and pines. We don't have a pulp wood plant in our area I know of.

The applicant pool in Canada is inundated with Indians and Middle Easterners. Some Chinese. Very few just normal Canadian ppl.

The alcohol tariff amuses me. That only exists because their alcohol is piss across the board. If not for the tariff, no one up there would drink their native alcohol.

If you believe that, please explain why Trump deferred many of the tariffs such as on vehicles and steel until January after the mid terms? I'm sure you will say it is to give more time to negotiate but that was the theory last week of deferring for 3 days. The admin is smart enough to know these tariffs and the retaliatory ones from Canada will have negative effects on Americans and that can affect the vote of many people especially in states like Maine and Michigan which are more intertwined with Canada economically.

People won't vote D because of the tariff war itself and they certainly don't care about the impact it has on Canada but they will vote based on how it impacts their wallets and the jobs of their friends, families and themselves.

At the risk of getting scorched by folks on here, does anybody else find it tiring that Trump seems to pick fights with pretty much any and everyone? I know part of it is the media fanning the flames making things a whole lot more dire than they are, and hate on Trump for everything.

I mean, I get it. A number of things have needed to, and continue to, be need renegotiated as we have been taken advantage of by the whole damn world on a number of things. I wish things were a little more "strategic and quiet" instead of the bombastic, bravado, and in your face stuff. It just gets tiring with all of the noise.
