I think it was in poor taste for Elon to leave the Govt and then begin to trash it and trash Trump. Now he is not wrong though, but he should have kept his silence for a few weeks/months.
Agree. I believe there are much better ways to handle this (especially when Elon needs his help with AI). But we all know this is exactly who Elon and Trump are....this was inevitable.

The good thing about this fallout is that Elon will likely back a real fiscal conservative in 2028. And that almost certainly won't be whoever Trump picks, so there's a chance to tone down the populism in the party, if not kick it out altogether.

DeSantis would start talking about balancing a budget now if he was smart.
