Wow that is powerful. I lived in Uvalde from age 8-15 and Robb was the first elementary school that i attended when I moved there. A guy I grew up with and played sports with is Eva's husband and also on the force. This child's story about her jumping in front of her students to try and save her students is 100% of what i would've expected from her (even not knowing her) and her being married to Ruben. Ugh, I have tears in my eyes

Yep.

Like every other disaster, it will be a chain of events, and if even 1 thing didn't occur, the disaster would not have happened.

This is why NTSB reports are hundreds of pages, which rarely anyone reads or acts on the suggestions.

This is exactly my thought. The door worked as intended as evidence by the fact the cops couldn't get to Ramos initially. A protocol wasn't followed and the door wasn't locked which allowed him in.

That's what the DPS spokesperson stated. Except that this morning they stated that two cops did engage the guy

He said that the killer got out of his vehicle then fired shots at two people at a funeral home. Then walked to the school where he fired shots at the school as he approached. It was 22 minutes from his truck to the school when police arrived and begin to engage with him. They received fire and retreated.

There was no mention of the school officer that I recall.

Yeah I just watched the video of the DPS person, he confirms that the killer was not confronted.

Sounds like the two officers that DID show failed to close and kill the suspect? What a cluster of failure. Injured kids could have maybe been saved, time is critical.

I don't think that's the same guy. The mouthpiece for DPS had been Erick Estrada. The only reason I remember his name is because of Eric Estrada from CHIPS. You can hear in those videos the frustrations from the media because the story keeps changing.

Come on. Y'all have seen this before. 48hr rule, etc.

Take all statements with a grain of salt at this point - especially from "officials" who were not eyewitnesses. No one know the chain of events yet. Everyone on the scene will/has been interviewed ... likely more than once ... and all of them will have a slightly different take. Could take weeks to iron out an accurate timeline.

I read a quote from an eyewitness this morning ... wasn't clearly stated if from the funeral home across street or from one of the houses ... that he and 1-2 others heard the truck crash & ran out to help the guy they thought was injured. He shot at them, they ducked for cover, a school cop heard shots & approached, but shooter entered building before cop & cop follows him in. I mean hell it seems reasonable - BUT it could also be pure BS. No one knows yet
