Did something at a concert for the first time last night.
I initially purchased a reserved seat, cheapest price point so upper level and way off to the side.
I get to show, and there's a mostly empty row, except two fat goth girls with a seat in between them. Wouldn't you know it, it's my seat. They see me looking at seat numbers and ask if it's mine, I say yeh but that's fine I'll sit in one of these empty seats until some one comes.
Opener starts, someone comes to get my seat, so I begrudgingly sit in between them.
I hop on stubhub, vivid, etc. I find a seat dead center, front row (still upper level though) for sale, only $10!
Done, within 5 minutes, I had the new ticket, and moved. That seat ended up having empty seats around me as well, which was great.
Makes me want to consider just buying the lawn seat next time and keep an eye out for a cheap last second sale.
As I pulled it up and searched, I saw a center section lower level at $10 as well, but it had a strike through and said 'sold in the last 5 minutes'
Had I hopped on ticketmaster a tad earlier, I could have perused the empty seats on their chart, but when I checked, TM stopped sales for the show.
Stubhub and vivid don't show you seat numbers.
