Beautiful night in Dallas after all the rain earlier in the day. Wife and I each got to hear our favorites, and the band sounded great! Houston setlist looked fantastic, hope you had a great weekend!

Great 2 nights of music. Both setlists different and fun in their own way. Dallas crowd had way more energy. Helps that it was on a Saturday night.

That said, talking with our friends...I think next year we're going to skip the TX shows and instead choose a location during the summer tour that would be fun for a short 3 or 4 day trip so we can not only see DMB but also enjoy whatever that area has to offer.

I'm sure it's because he's playing ACL. No Dallas date either.

Been waiting for this since 2020. Looking at DC at The Anthem and maybe one or both of the NC dates.

Me too! I had tickets to see him on Sound & Fury tour with Childers opening and then Covid hit!

Maybe he'll do a popup show in Houston in between ACL dates like Foo Fighters did this year. A man can hope!

I have done a few "concertcations" before and I would suggest this completely

Vampire Weekend was fantastic at 713 Music Hall last night. Great setlist that included quite a bit of their new album. Might have to catch this tour again later this summer.

Ringo Starr and his All Starr Band tonight. World's best cover band! And, they know their audience. Got us old farts out of there by 10:00.

Ticket secured for Sturgill in Asheville this October. Missed him in 2020, so pretty stoked to get to see him.

This would be cool for fans of the band. It's sold out too! Good for them.

I was busy and forgot about the presale for Judas Priest this morning.

Don't like that it's on a Tuesday.

I saw them when they were here and it was below freezing. These guys are so dang good! The INXS act nailed every song. I'm sad to miss this, going to see George!

I asked the wife if she wants to go and she is not yet onboard. I'll either be going solo or not at all.

You should tell her that you need her tonight. C'mon, it's just one need in the night.

She may recall that I told her to Don't Change.

I remember seeing REK one year before Midnight Yell. They had the stage set up on the field facing the zone. I think it was 2012, but I could be way off.

Think it was 2013 before the bama game.

I thought REK and Lyle Lovett were phenomenal here on Thursday. The last time I saw REK was that show outside of Kyle Field in what was supposed to be one of his last before retirement and I didn't think that one was very good.

Kicked out the hits in a short set:

1. Feeling Good Again
2. Gringo Honeymoon
3. I'm Coming Home
4. Road Goes On Forever
5. I Gotta Go
6. Spirit of Aggieland (Robert Earl humping it with the Yell Leaders on stage)

Then Lyle Lovett and his band came on and sounded great. I feel like they should have reversed the order though as his set was very melancholy after the previous high energy set but all of the story telling by Lyle regarding his time at Aggieland was excellent.

Then brought REK back out for Front Porch Song and another one I can't remember the name of at the moment.

Then Lyle's band along with REK's band plus Max Stallings to finish it off with Woody Guthrie's "This Land is Your Land".

The stage and sound was excellent, too. Wish we got more stuff like that. Food trucks, decently priced beers, and a great scene.

Bought Billy Strings for the tour ending shows in December at Dickie's in FW and Austin big Moody. Now onto praying for a miracle to win the lottery for the ACL Moody show inbetween.

It was a great set! I was a little worried about REK though. I hope he's doing okay.

They were excellent. I'm not a u2 fan but they sounded good covering them as well. U2 songs are just kind of boring to me.

They had some good covers. Some sounded a little rough. I gotta hand it to the singer, though. He covered Bono well, including the high falsetto stuff Bono can do.

I didn't realize until talking to the guitarist afterwards that the singer is the same one that fronts the VHT act we saw a couple months back.

And the INXS band.

And he fronted a Pearl Jam cover band last night.

No, but I enjoyed that show better than the Supernova show.

Rock Srar INXS was fantastic. The Supernova one was terrible.

Friends have said it sounded great, which surprised me as Kyle Field often has terrible sound quality.
