Saw 3 Doors Down and Candlebox last night and apparently Candlebox is hanging it up and retiring. Well it also happened to be the last show of the tour so we got to see them say goodbye. They sounded great as well as 3DD.

Saw Pat Benatar last night at ACL Moody Theater. For a 70 year old, she still rocks. He voice is generally lower than it was back in the day, but just as melodic. And she can still hit the high notes every now and then. Neil Giraldo still rocks.
They finished with Heartbreaker, which was awesome. They segued into Ring of Fire and absolutely killed it. More of that please!
I saw her 2 years ago and would say exactly what you said, including the Ring of Fire finish. Some time after I saw her she declared she wouldn't sing "Best Shot" apparently to protest… something. Did she bring it back?
Good to hear! I've never seen her and she is at the Sands this year.dmart90 said:

Never saw Candlebox for some reason but they've always been a guilty pleasure of mine. Didn't know they were still touring and retiring. Pretty awesome you caught their last show ever from what it sounds like.cena05 said:

Easy tattoo recognition, pretty tall. Cowboy hat, blue jeans and T-shirt is pretty common for him

Me too, but I just mean it's weird seeing him "out of context". Like that picture of him with the shopping bag that people post sometimes.
Candlebox opened for Rush?! No way. Welp, I don't have to be ashamed to admit I like them a lot anymore. Total validation. lolmaroon barchetta said:

But seriously, Rob came to my store to sign autographs for the Hellbilly Deluxe album release. My recollection was that he was shockingly short, like around 5'6". I even texted one of my old co-workers and he said the exact same thing. I wasn't trying to "body shame" jorgerr but he is significantly shorter than Rob in that pic so it took me by surprise.maroon barchetta said:Know Your Enemy said:

I understand what Google says but I stood next to the man multiple times and my memory is completely different. Of course it's been more than 2 decades and I've killed a lot of brain cells in that time. That's why I double checked with someone else who was there for one of those meetings. Weird thing is that his memory matched mine.62strat said:google search says 5-10.Know Your Enemy said:But seriously, Rob came to my store to sign autographs for the Hellbilly Deluxe album release. What's the cost for M&G with him, a couple grand?jorgerr96 said:
Day trip to Phoenix for Rob Zombie/Alice Cooper. Did the RZ M&G, which was way worth the value,
I saw them replace AIC opening for Metallica in 1994 because Layne Staley ended up in rehab. Is that what you're thinking of?DannyDuberstein said:
Saw Candlebox at the Texas World Speedway in BCS circa 1996 lol. I recall Scott Weiland had one of his drug slips a few days before and they mentioned him just before playing Far Behind
