That is definitely not accurate. Book of Boba Fett, Graceland, Red Widow. Also, RT is markedly less useful for shows compared to movies.
To be fair it said "starred" on a show and I certainly wouldn't call him the star of Book of Boba Fett but I'm sure they included Game Of Thrones and he certainly wasn't the "star" of that show either.

Bottom line, dude is a great actor and has mostly made great choices.

Got to watch EP1 last night.

Know nothing about the game or plot or anything.

For sure the acting and production has me hooked right now.

Maybe it's answered elsewhere or maybe it will be later in the show (and I'm probably thinking too much);

Why does Joel live in Boston now? I mean it seems warmer Texas/Austin would be a much better place to stay than the NE. Not to mention it's a long way away from Austin.

Joel was a contractor in Austin. Now he's just some day labor guy? Seems like he'd be more useful in the quarantine zone than someone shoveling sewage or throwing bodies on the bonfire.

What the heck happened with that infected corpse that was splattered all over the wall when Joel and Tess went into the subway offices? Does the infection just eventually cause people to exploded or something? Seems like it would die out pretty quickly if that were true.

I know nothing but I just assumed that's because it's a safe area and the infections are all across the US.

I've played the first game and watched the first episode. You're thinking too much about it.

You have to remember that 20 years have passed in a post-apocalyptic/zombie scenario. You do what it takes to survive. Lines are blurred. Joel is a smuggler, but takes whatever odd jobs available pay the most so he can survive. Boston is just one location where there was a "safe-zone" that is still functioning. Similar to The Walking Dead, he probably traveled and bounced around communities trying to survive in the past 20 years.

Some details were given in that tv interview that started in the beginning of the show that might help inderstand using the analogy of the fungus and an infected ant. The fungus at first controls the mind and body but then starts to replace tissue, etc. In the game, there are different levels/stages of infected based on how long they were infected. Also in the game, the fungus also made spores, but has been omitted on the show (so far) because they didn't want the actors in gas masks much of the time, according to an interview.

Great first episode. I've always wanted to play the game, but never owned a PlayStation.

I can see both ways. Would be nice and safer for non gamers, but also as one that has played the games, it would be annoying to have two threads to check.

DO NOT CLICK BELOW IF YOU HAVEN'T PLAYED BOTH.

As far as the TLOU2 discussion, I can see people liking the first better and vice versa. They are neck and neck for me.

Personally when it switched who you were playing I thought "Wait, I am picking up items? And I have an inventory? Does this mean I am really playing as her?" Then when it said "Day 1" or "Tuesday" or whatever, implying you will have to play for the same three day arc you just played as Ellie I was pissed and annoyed. However that quickly changed.

TLOU is so amazing because of the emotional/moral conflict. The end is great because it takes someone you love and have agreed with and turns him into someone you don't anymore. TLOU2 would have been too "clean" and boring if it was just a revenge story. Showing you Abby and forcing you to play as her shows you and reminds you that Joel wasn't exactly the good guy at the end of TLOU. If anything you start to feel like Abby has MORE to be sympathetic for. Her dad was just trying to save the world and got killed for it.

In the end I was an emotional mess playing as Abby and hunting down Ellie in that theater. I was literally talking to the TV "No. No. NO! Do NOT make me kill her! No!!!" I was fully invested. Then the lengths Ellie goes to to hunt her back down and get closure is epic. The brutality of the ending is gut wrenching.

I can see people who wanted a straight revenge story, but I loved how it showed both sides and made you conflicted. It stayed true to the original because it put you in the same morel conundrum of not knowing what to feel about the characters actions. The journey was amazing.

Respect.

At some point, I'd like to go back and read these spoilers. But I have no idea how long to wait. After season 1 is over? Season 2? The entire series?

If they stay true to it there should only be two seasons. I thought the said they werent adding anything past the game because the didnt want a GOT type issue with story content.

Found an article. It says the second game would take more than 1 season. To me if you were going in with that thought then why not make the 1st game 2 seasons as well?

Can imagine approaching Pedro, after his time in The Mandalorian, and asking him to wear something that covers his face 90% of the time. I bet they wouldn't even be able to finish the sentence asking him before he said "Peace, I'm out."

thinking about how the second game went I can see why they'd break that into 2 seasons.

Also….for the love of god don't read any spoilers even after season 1 because there's several that touch on some things from the second game .

I fired up TLOU first game and started another play through last night. Been 6 years since I played and looking forward to it again.

Thank you for this! I haven't finished the second one, and I'm not sure what the spoiler part of your post is because I didn't click it. If your post only made reference to game players in general, it would have been ruined. I appreciate that you were specific. The thread is already getting dangerous, but posts like yours really help with that.

Agreed. I initially didn't think a seperate game-players thread was necessary. But there's a lot of people who want to discuss not only the first game but the second one as well. And no matter how vague you guys think you're being...its not vague enough.

Upon replaying through the game….the next episode should be nothing but a horror/gore fest….which makes sense since it's a shorter episode (50 minutes I believe)….

Yea, I bet it was cool to play TLOU2 as soon as you left Seattle

I'm stoked for the Bay Area factions multiplayer game. I think it'll be better than Warzone, for those who like dark, mature themes anyway
