You guys do this so ****ing much when a show/movie shows anything that isn't heteronormative white males. A movie highlights women? Its only for social justice. A show shows a black person doing something amazing, obviously social justice. A gay love story, SOCIAL JUSTICE!!!!!
Maybe people just want to tell these stories because they are worth telling? The fact that ya'll think that the only time a non white male or non straight male is worth highlighting is due to some other agenda is just telling on yourself that you don't think those stories are worth exploring. In that world view, anytime anyone other than the people you value are highlighted its due to some weird agenda you've cooked up and not because they might be interesting.

let's get the facts straight - people have been watching movies about great things done by gay people, gay love stories, minority stories, you name it, for decades and decades now.
